I drew my weapon and fired four shots into his chest and torso; dropping him almost instantaneously to the floor. Once I was sure he was dead, I holstered my weapon and then turned to Iki who smiled at me proudly. “Awesome, girl!” He said ecstatically. “I don’t think ever in a million years I’d come close to being that quick with my paws. How in god’s name did you even manage to pull that off?” “Oh, I’ve watched a few good John Wayne movies back in the day.” I said teasingly. Iki chuckled. “I never even knew old timey westerns were your thing.” He said. “They aren’t.” I replied, stopping in front of the double doors outside. “But defending the ones I love and care about is.” I then decided to pop the main thing that had been on my mind for a good while now. “Ya know, Iki, I always thought that we could be a little something more than just friends.” Iki smiled. “I did too when we were starting in high school but I was always that quirky kid and just never had the guts to wolf up and ask.” “Well, what would you say to this?” I asked and then pressed my muzzle softly against his, delivering a sweet and warm kiss. Iki’s smile widened into a large grin and he answered, “To that, I say a definite and absolute yes.” He pressed his muzzle in return against mine and we spent almost the whole time sharing warm kisses and standing there wrapped up in each other’s loving embrace until the CPD soon arrived to clean house and wrap up the scene.
