Today was my grandfather's birthday. He would have been 94, and knowing him, still enjoying life to its fullest. After hearing one of his favorite songs on the radio, my mind drifted back to a conversation we had just before Alzheimer's took control of that dear, sweet man. Come sit with me by the old swimming hole, as I revisit that summer of 1997 in this soliloquy, of sorts.
Let's turn the clocks back for a bittersweet story of teen age love. The kind that movies are made of. Be careful not to get caught up in all the action or you might find yourself Between A Rock and a Hard Place
Steven is in a race for his life and it's a race he may not win. Being hand-picked for the President's protection is usually a Secret Service agent's dream but this could turn out to be a nightmare for all concerned.
