Most people wake up in the morning have some breakfast, have a cup of coffee and head off for work, right? Well that sure isn't the case with Guadalupe Ivelisse Yamile Suarez. Ever since she was three she started learning how to dance, Cuban style! And now it's her full time job. But wait, there's more! Guadalupe is now 16, and she's going to get the chance of a life time to take a tour to the USA. While there a talent scout finds her and thinks that she can make it to big places in the US, but if Guadalupe stays in America, the Government will go after her family, then to make things worse, her family disowns her for an unknown reason. Now Guadalupe has to decide between her own communist country and this new, free country and a new cute guy. What will she decide? Tradition or freedom?
Jeannine, has always known one form of education: home schooling. But then, her parents decide it’s time for her to be introduced to the ‘real world’. So Jeanine is dropped into the freshman year of high school with no warning what so ever. And although her artistic talents aided her in home school, they mean nothing in high school. As soon as Jeannine steps through the high school doorway she realizes that her biggest struggle will be socially. Soon the daily battles include avoiding the ‘cool’ girls, resisting annoying boys, and discovering the speed bumps located on First Time Relationship Rd.. Can Jeanine keep up her daily war with high school and still remain sane.
