I AM NOT FINISHED
"Are you?" I asked holding back tears. He just stood there without a word. He didn't look at me, his head was down. I couldn't believe this was happening to me. I lost patience, and I was about to leave, but I couldn't leave without knowing, and I don't think I can move my legs if I even tried. We just stood there for a while before turning my head to the side. It took a while for my eyes to adjust to the darkness, but I saw about a million trees surrounding us. The leaves were dancing to the music of the breeze, I could taste the freshness in the air, which got my aggravated. I wanted to taste his scent, but of course the breeze stole that from me. I remember the first time I smelled it, it smelled so alluring I almost fainted, but now it burned my nose, making it itch, but I didn't dare move.
"Rosaleen," he said, in a gentle voice, though knowing his voice would have come out icy, with great effort he was breaking through the ice barrier in his throat, making his voice gentle, trying to calm me down. He put his head up, his eyes were glassy, and he grabbed me by the waist in a hug. Tears ran down my face, not being able to hold them in anymore. I started crying silently into his chest. Damian let go of my waist, and grabbed my face with both hands, tilted my head back and kissed my lips softly, but long. Then it was over . Everything i worked for was gone, abandoned in a dark shadow.
