Chance discovers the powerful and horrifying history of his family and race, the Nekroy. On the eve of his birthday he discovers the imprisoned Lady of Light and releases her and her magyck back into the world, condemning his race to exile as they are overthrown by the races they have oppressed for thousands of years.
