The rain was pouring down my neck. My hair plastered onto my face. I gasped, and my shoulders were screaming with pain. My wings were too heavy, and I was on the verge of falling. He gave me his hand. I wanted to grab hold of it. To be safe in his arms, but I wanted Jace. Jace my shield. My Jace, but to him I was only a mouse and he was the cat.
I should let go for him. I should let go of this cliff.
Until I fall...I want Jace. My Jace. Mine only. And at the last thought of Jace,
