The Darkness began with a simple creation. Her name was Agony, a part of DARK’s army. She became queen of Darkness and became an undefeated ruler of the Emotions. The Emotions were many people with the names of emotions, they had no middle name or last name like humans did, they could not feel pain either. They were servants to the wretched queen, her terror making them go insane, losing grip of seeing the Light again, seeing Faith, Hope, and Peace.
The queen soon had a child; he was born with two different colored eyes, one gold, and the other red, his name, Prince Mayhem. He was put down by his mother, and blind. There were times where he believed in the Light over the Darkness, times when he wanted to be free. Alas, Agony’s rein was endless; she feared not the consequence of her actions.
After years of their dearest humans being tortured, The Council created The Daughters of Evil, Temptation, Life, Chaos, Freedom, Dreams, and Silence. They also created The Sons of Unease, Rhyme, Reason, Determination, Challenge, and Crime. The Daughter of Light was to control all of these Sons and daughters, she was the most beautiful woman any man had ever laid eyes on, and she was a pure Goddess of Light.
Agony was angered at The Council for creating these people to destroy her. She trapped the mighty Daughter of Chaos and hid her away in her chambers. The Daughter of Light did not approve of one of her people being taken and tried to get Agony to give the Daughter of Chaos back, but The Queen refused.
With The Daughter of Chaos gone there was no way to restore peace in the land. This caused war. The battle raged on for years, blood filling the fields. The Prince of Peace stood, watching all of this, gazing upon the beautiful Daughter of Chaos; he fell in love with his opposite. She strayed from Agony’s fortress one day, curious about the outside world. The Prince of Peace gave her a pink rose but she did not understand the gesture of kindness. He taught her about the Daughters and Sons, and told her that there was something good in the world, that there was hope. They fell in love.
Agony found out through her personal assassin what The Daughter of Chaos had done. The Queen followed the Daughter of Chaos one day, as she went to see her beloved. Agony killed the prince. She yelled at The Daughter, who sat, crying on the ground. Agony dragged The Daughter to her chambers and locked her away, never to see the light again.
“It starts off in all different types of ways…” ~ Iveen Blackwater
I can hear the wind as it whispers. The voices are soft but harsh against my cheeks. It’s too chilly for the mortals to wonder the land today. A thick blanket of white coats the ground. Snow is peaceful and soothing to me. It’s like a sea of frozen water drops, each in different crystalized patterns, beautiful in every way. Different. I know what it’s like to be different. The mortal children call their own kind creeps and weird. They all have secrets of their own. They all have common ground, all are different. Do we need to be treated differently just because we are different? I find them funny, they humor me. A lot of things humor me. I sigh and get up, the spot where I was sitting the same as before I sat there.
As you well know by now I am not human. I’m not a blood sucker or a werewolf. I’m not a murderer or an evil person. My name is Shadow, and I am The Daughter of Light. Yes, my life is complicated; I was born and never died like the rest. I am immortal and abnormally beautiful. I still have mortal emotions though. I feel anger, loss, forgiveness, love, and pain. My emotions sometimes take over me and I don’t know what to do. I know humans well. I know how to act mortal, but it could never work. I can never pretend to be what I am not.
After all of this jabber you’re probably wondering what I’m doing out on such a cold day. Why would I even want to go out on such a horrid day? I must say, my mind can be the complete opposite of a humans. This day is beautiful to me. Every day is beautiful but the days of bloodshed and war. Tears stain the faces of families who lose their loved ones, but every once in a while we lose something close to us.
I on the other hand, I am Immortal, I cannot be killed. I was created to create. They told me I am not meant to love, but I am meant to care. I am not meant to hear, but I am meant to listen. I'm not meant to do a lot of things, and yet I manage to do them.
"Shadow! Shadow!" I turned and saw Blu and fell over as she tackled me.
"SERIOUSLY!" I yelled.
She laughed as she rolled over, covered in snow. She hugged me and smiled,"Hi sis!"
I rolled my eyes and got up. I dusted myself off and let out my hand to help her up. What a mistake. She pulled me down again and covered me in snow, we both laughed and got up once more."How has patrol been going?" I asked. Blu is head of the defense team for now, since she pops up in every place just like that.
Blu giggled and tilted her head,"It's been going as planned your majesty, but I doubt there's a day why Sky hasn't asked about you." Sky is my current guardian, all of the daughters have one. The sons refused guardians and said they could protect themselves, but I doubt they really can.
I shook my head,"Sky can deal, there are too many Otherworlders scattered around the human realm right now. I've devised Sarah to find them all before it's too late."
"That's a first that you haven't let snob nose Iveen to go do something!"Blu laughed. Iveen was one of my best friends and an elite assassin. She is the daughter of Temptation, and though she may seem evil, she's a very good friend. She's usually called Ivy.
Ivy stepped out of the shadows, a white wolf with strange markings trotting next to her,"I heard that Blume." Ivy glared at Blu and the wolf next to her sat down. The wolfs name is Solo, when we relocated Ivy she was put in the German army. She had traveled a lot and found Solo in the Alaskan mountains where she was buried in the snow. Solo had been abandoned by her pack, most likely because of her strange eyes.
"Now now girls, let's not fight again,"I laughed. They were amusing to watch when they fought.
