"Ring, ring," the school bell shouted.

"Time for dismissal kids. Pack up, go to your seat, and wait for your name to be called to get picked up." Mrs. Sanchez reminded the students. She was a light skinned woman who was as skinny as a toothpick and wore very little makeup. Usually, she wears dresses with lace and blue plaid, but today she wore a tan business suit with a pale button down blue shirt with black high heels. Her caramel-colored hair was in an extremely messy bun. Almost like she woke up, twisted it into a bun, and just left it. Bree, Autumn, and Daniel (aka. Danny) were the best of friends. Bree was fair skinned with blonde, curly, long hair with dark blue eyes. When she comes to school, she usually wears black hoodies with extremely tight blue jeans. Autumn, on the other hand, is more of a darker skin tone. She has brown long braids with few blonde braids foiled through. She wears joggers with an emoji top and a yellow sweater overtop.

Lastly, Daniel is a tan boy, brown eyes with extremely curly dark brown hair. All the girl fall for him, even though he doesn't feel the same way. He wears polo shirts with shorts that hit at his knees and vans. Since these three kids were babies, their moms had known each other. They were in middle school now and they still stick together like a really sticky glue bottle.

"When I get picked up, I'm going to get some food and catch a movie. Do you guys want to come?" Autumn asked, hoping they would both say yes.

"Sure," they said in agreement. Mrs. Sanchez stood up from her seat, interrupting the kid's conversation.

"Excuse me, scholars! I am about to call those who are being picked up so may I please have your undivided attention." Her strict tone made everyone jump every time. "Sarah, Barren, Benson, Amy, Chase, Jason, Adam, and last but not least, Brenda. You guys are getting picked up. Have a wonderful day." She smiled as they walked out of the classroom door. The trio's heads looked up in confusion, they ddin't get called.

"Wait," Bree questioned in confusion, "why didn't we get called? Our moms said she was picking us up." Bree's face lit up with anger, assuming that their parents had forgotten them and left them at the school.

Daniel went up to Mrs. Sanchez, "There must be a misunderstanding or something. Our parents would never leave us. Plus, our parents said they were picking us up today."

"Oh my goodness NOO! How could they do that? I'll go outside and see if anyone is there for you guys." The teacher speed walked out the door, like she was in a track race, trying to win first place. She slammed the entrance door so hard, it sounded like a firecracker blew up in the building. All the teachers had left them, unsurpervised, in a building. ALL ALONE.

Hours have passed. Mrs. Sanchez had not come back form outside of the school. Bree was pacing back and forth around the classroom, crying and out of breath.

"I think I'm going to die of stress. The teacher left, our parents left and were stranded in here. I don't want to stay in this crappy school all alone."

"Calm down. Our parking lot at this school is pretty big. Plus you don't even know if they left us," Autumn comforted Bree.

Daniel interrupted their crying moment, "But think about it... It has been four hours and the parking lot is not the size of China. Something's up." Daniel balled his fist, showing hsi anger.

"Duh, Daniel. OUR PARENTS LEFT US!" Bree yelled in frustration. She was yelled so angrily, it was almost like she was about to put a permanent hand mark on his cheek.

"Maybe, maybe not but I'm not going to sit here and whine. I'm going to find out what the heck is really going on." Daniel got up from his desk, sliding the chair back about 20 inches, almost bumping into the desk behind him. He paced his legs torwards the classroom door.

"Wait," Autumn and Bree ran up to Daniel, making him stop, "We're coming with you too. You're not going alone."

The loud shutting of the door echoed through the dark and empty school. The school was completely empty ever since Mrs. Sanchez left. As the trio went down the long dim hallway, they only heard their shoes screeching on the polished white floor.

"There has to be an answer as to why we are the only ones left here." Bree implied.

"Yeah. Did you know that it is illegal to leave kids unsurpervised in any school?" All their attitudes were filled with disappointment because they knew something was wrong.  The kids went up and down the hallways, trying to find an adult or anyone for that matter to find out what was happening. They needed some answers.

"Hey guys, over here!" Daniel's depe voice echoed through the hallway. Bree and Autumn ran over to where Daniel was standing impatiently and looked ahead.

"Really? Your yelling and screaming was to show us the entrance to the school?" Autumn's face was filled with disappointment. "Not your best job, Danny."

"Listen before you criticize me. Okay?" Autumn jumped back in Daniel's response. "I called you guys over here because this is where Mrs. Sanchez went through before she disappeared. This might give us some answers that we were looking for."

"BOOM!" The entry door to the school opened. Their hearts were shot as they realized that the school parking lot was completely. There was literally not one car there.

"If nobody's here then why is the entry door still open? Wheever all the teachers leave, they lock it." Something was obviously wrong.

"Hey, I have an idea! Why don't we go to my house so we can gets our heads back on straight and figure it out. I only live a few minutes away, walking distance." Daniel suggested.

Suddenly, the entry door closed behind them.

"Well, we obviously can't get into the building again so we have no other choice. Let's do it."
