Little Linus

Once upon a time, there was a boy who was so small that he was barely visible. His name was Little Linus. Little Linus lived with his parents, but they didn't know. How would they possibly know they had a son when he was so small? He lived in the house laundry since he liked the sweet smell of washing powder and loved to cuddle around in all the soft clothes. Since the laundry was so enormous compared to Linus, the room was like one big kingdom for him. The southern parts of the Laundry was the home of an old woodlouse called Berit. Berit was seen as a grandmother by Linus. She was always nice enough to pack some food for Linus when he was traveling through the south Laundry and she comforted him when he was sad. Berit thought that the Laundry needed a bigger population, democracy and schools AND that they should cooperate with the Broom cupboard room on the other side of the wall. But Linus didn't like that idea. He would often say: "I don't want to live with those overcrowded woodlice! They will destroy everything that we built up together!"

The Broom cupboard room as a poor and overpopulated country, all of it was dried out and the people needed water. Berit was once a citizen of the northern parts of the Broom cupboard room but when the evil woodlouse-king Sylvester sent the royal army to wipe out all old and useless woodlice, she had to run away with her husband to the Laundry. Her husband returned to his homeland to fight the evil king and his army, but he never returned. Berit was scared the same thing would happen to the Laundry if people weren't educated.

Suddenly, a giant entered the country, it was Linus' mother! She had come to clean the Laundry! She put a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the country and walked away. Little Linus and Berit could hear chatter coming from inside the vacuum cleaner. "Did we make it", "Are we in the Laundry now?". It was chatter from a bunch of woodlice from the Broom cupboard room! There were hundreds of them! "Welcome to freedom!"- Screamed Berit. "Oh no" - said Little Linus.

-We have to help them before your mother comes back! - Said Berit

-I have told you time after time that I don't want to those overpopulated woodlice in my country! - Said Linus.

-But if you won't help them here, you have to help them in their country!

-And how am I supposed to do that?

-I don't know, let's ask them. - She responded and pointed at the woodlice refugees.

Little Linus went to the back of the vacuum cleaner and peaked in. It was dusty, dark and loud.

-Helloo! Anyone in here?! - He shouted

-We're here! Are you blind?- Asked an annoyed woodlouse

-My natural eyesight isn't as good as yours in the dark!

That's when they heard something big stomping outside.

-It's the giant! she's back! - Screamed a woodlouse

They heard how the vacuum cleaner started to make sounds and the wind became heavier and heavier!

-Oh no, this is not good! - Said Little Linus.

They were all sucked out of the vacuum cleaner, flying through the lands and finally ended up in the Broom cupboard room!

-No, no, no, I have to get out of here! - Cried Linus

-No, please! You have to help us! - Said a woodlouse

-And how would I do that? I can't do anything as long as Sylvester is on the throne!

-But you are human! He's always wanted to speak to you! You are even publically wanted in the country! "The one who finds the human known as Little Linus and brings him to me will receive 500 Gold-lusers" He says! And actually, there exists no way out of here. Every hole in the walls are heavily guarded!

-Alright, then what do we do?

-All you have to do is invite yourself to Sylvester!

So Little Linus did as the woodlouse said and started packing for a trip to the north Broom cupboard. When he arrived at the royal castle he went straight up to Sylvester's throne and confronted him.

-I'm here now! - Said Linus

-Greetings, human! I have to say, for being a human, you're not so smart. I mean, who walks up to a powerful king that way? -Said Sylvester and laughed.

-I promise to help you understand humans and how to defeat us as long as you let your people live in freedom!

-Never!

-Why?

-Money, my boy. I need workers for money to keep on rolling in!

-You have enough money! Your people have nothing at all!

-Okay then. If you don't want to cooperate then so be it - Said Sylvester

Little Linus had to back off for his own sake. When he was walking towards the door he heard: "GUARDS! CATCH HIM!"

Linus ran for his life! His small legs had never moved so fast before! The main door was looked so he went for the stairs! He heard how the guards fell behind him. The human-like stars wasn't designed for the 6 legs that of a woodlouse

"YOU WORTHLESS BUGS! IF YOU CAN'T CATCH HIM, I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO DO IT ALL BY MYSELF!" - Said the furious king.

Sylvester ran up the stairs and after Linus! In the end, Linus reached the top of the south tower with Sylvester right behind him. That's where it ended.

Little Linus couldn't go any further. He kept on thinking: "This is the end". Sylvester slowly climbed the tower as he laughed his very special evil laugh.

-This is the end, Human! - Sylvester said.

-You will not get away with this, you will be punished!

-My only wish is to see you gone!

-No!

-Who's gonna save you? You pathetic refugee friends? The granny who fled?

He drew his sword.

-Or maybe.. maybe even.. your mom!? Who left you to live in a laundry with an old woodlouse?! Face it, human. You. are. WORTH..

BOOM!

It was mother! She had entered the Cupboard room just to find one big, ugly woodlouse and completely crushed it with the broom!

"She may not know that I exist, but she still saves me last minute, Your Highness" Linus said with a big smug on his face.

Little Linus and Berit helped liberate the country. They united the Cupboard room and the Laundry and called it the new country, The basement, where, no other than Little Linus was chosen as king.
