Tooter Red And Goober Brack


Let me tell you a story about two good old boys,
never hurt a fly and twernt too bad at making noise.
They grew up along the river banks out west Texas way,
and boy did those boys know how to play.

One day Tooter gathered up a mess of bait,
and he ran over to Goobers and yelled goin fishin what do you say!
Goober smiles wide with a toothless grin,
and raised up his arms and replied you bet and Kooter yelled "then git in".

They rambled down that there dirt road in a vehicle they created themselves,
Out of an old scout that now looked like the golf cart from hell.
It was cut down stripped off and pert near unbelievable indeed,
but it ran and those boys had just the thing.

They had their poles draped across the back ,
and Goober had some heavy duty fishing line thats a fact.
He fergot to lock his pole and the line came loose,
and before they knew it that there line became a noose..

All of a sudden this here duck made a heck of a rukus indeed,
and the two boys looked back and was amazed at what they did see.
That there duck going thirty miles an hour squaking the whole way,
then all of a sudden those two boys were under fire that day.

That there duck got his second wind when they slowed that there scout down,
and before they knew it that duck was a barreling down.
Whack it hit old Kooter right betwixed the eyes,
and you know ducks they poop constantly and Kooter could no longer drive.

Goober grabbed that there wheel and kept saying Tooter slow down,
and Tooter was gaging and sputtering but that duck kept coming back around .
Finally Tooter hit the brakes and sent that there duck on ahead,
and Goober got to laughing at the ight of Tooters head.

I told you I would catch the first catch my friend ,
and he was laughing so hard he didnt see what Tooter Did.
He pulled on that there fishing line and retreived that there duck,
and gave old Goober a little bit of that stuff.

Oh my goodness they finally cut that line,
and that there duck went off flying .
But the next day as those boys came passing by,
revenge was the plan as that duck gave them his evil eye.

Yes indeed never piss off a duck in Texas dont tease a buzzard and never ever carry a fishing pole in the back of a vehicle without locking the line .
