The Orphanage

Henry woke with a bell ringing in his ears he got out of bed and opened the door. “GET DOWNSTAIRS!!!” shouted Miss Bliss.

Henry looked down and said, “Yes Miss Bliss”.

Miss Bliss turned on her heel and started banging on Billy’s door. Henry knew he would escape this place one day. Henry walked downstairs to where Miss Gracey was handing out bowls of porridge.

Henry walked up to Miss Gracey and she plopped a small blob of porridge in Henry’s bowl, “Where’s the bacon?” asked Henry.

Miss Gracey looked stunned at what Henry said, “You're not getting any bacon you little brat!" she said poking him.

Henry walked over to his table and ate his food with misery and disgust.

“Hey, Henry!” Henry looked up it was Billy Merodio, Henry’s best friend.

“Hello Billy,” mumbled Henry miserably.“

Henry what’s wrong?” questioned Billy.

“It’s just Miss Bliss and Miss Gracey”. “Don’t let them get to you, Henry”. Recommended Billy. “Your the best Billy!” exclaimed Henry a bit happier. “Henry have you thought of the escape plan yet?” asked Billy quietly. Henry looked down to the boring wooden floor.

“No,” he said. “Well, we’ve got to think of one quickly!”. “I know but I’m out of ideas,” mumbled Henry with a bit of sarcasm in his voice. “What do we do then?” questioned Billy with a bit of sarcasm in his voice as well.

â€śBilly. Remember when we cleaned out the gutters behind Miss Gracey’s office?” asked Henry. “Yer, I said I would always remember that day,” said Billy. Well, I think I saw an old shute and It might lead to the bins on the other side of the orphanage fence!” Billy looked at Henry and shouted,        â€śHenry you're a genius!” “YES, YES, YES!” shouted Billy “SHUT UP,” said Henry Billy looked to his right and saw Miss Bliss and Miss Gracey staring at him with anger. Miss Bliss Pulled out her walking stick “You will never learn to just shut up brat!” “Put your hand out!” shouted Miss Bliss. WACK! Miss Bliss smacked Billy’s hand as hard as she could.

Billy was in so much pain he was whimpering and holding his bandaged hand. “What is wrong with Miss Bliss?!” said Billy in pain

“Well, Miss Gracey is pretty mean to”. “Billy are you still in shape to escape tonight?!” asked Henry “Well it hurts but I think I can do it,” replied Billy.
