Camping by Alex Vinelli (dark books to read txt) 📖

I can not wait for this weekend to come. For the first time in over 8 years I am going on a camping trip. When I was younger, I was in the Boy Scouts of America. During that time I went on many camping trips and eventually excelled to become an Eagle Scout. My father and family were not big campers at all. My father would always drop me off at the parking lot where my fellow scouts and I would meet up to go on a camping trip. My older brother was in the scouts for a little while also, but had separation problems from my parents and never lasted on the over night trips. As for me, I could not wait to get away from them for the weekend. These escapes to upstate New York I feel were always a true calling for me. I was born and raised In Hauppauge New York which is an industrial town located on Long Island. Most of the trips I took were upstate along the Appalachian Trail. I now find myself living and working only several miles from where I use to go camping as a kid.

Camping was always something I loved to do although I have fallen away from it. Once I was out of Scouts my life got busy. Between school and my career during these last couple of years I have not found the time or have meet friends that share the same interest. All that is changing, this weekend I am driving upstate to go camping and white water rafting in Maine. I am going with 8 new acquaintances that I meet through one of my best friends. She met them while studying her undergrad and introduced them to us. We all bonded and got along really well and are now going on what hopes to be a great trip.
