else than their lives---because of their race. He was a discriminator who only wanted pure humans in his orphanage, even allowing fights between humans and other races to go on without punishments.

The humans were let off scot-free while the person or people they fought were heavily punished for their actions. Even though it was always a case of self-defense, the principal couldn’t care less. He applauded the humans and rewarded their behavior, egging on an already toxic character trait.

Fortunately, however, the principal was ousted out of power by the current principal---Rachel Howzer---and her administration. She put in multiple plans to ease the resentment building in elves, dwarves, dragonkins, beastkins, and every other non-human race living under Greenfire’s protection while also integrating the corrupted humans back into society and eliminating their toxic behavior.

Under Howzer’s leadership, Greenfire Orphanage became a safe haven for every race and a source of inspiration and hope for orphans with nothing but their lives and clothes on their back.

Over the last seven years, Greenfire prospered as their orphans---well-behaved and intelligent---went into the community and did well with their lives. Some of the orphans even decided to come back and work as Sisters or other staff to assist in the upbringing of the future generations of orphans - which was a good way of thinking about the children that arrived at the orphanage with sad expressions and sadder pasts.

The safe and relaxed environment that Howzer and her team brought into the orphanage would, often, be disrupted by scuffles between the highly-famed Best Fighter and his competitor.

Such examples would be Tasu and Zack. Zack was one of many competitors aiming for Tasu’s title, following in the lead of the past. He would fail and Tasu would get another name etched into his title.

With Zach's face planted on the ground, his team seemingly grew smaller. They acted tough and as if they had been in hundreds of fights but---without their leader---they were nothing more than a few cowards standing behind the champ.

Tasu allowed Nate---one of his friends---to pin Zack down and avoid having him spring back up. Now focused on Zach’s friends, Tasu took a step forward towards them. The boys cowered in fright at first, but one decided to charge towards him. The boy ran at Tasu, throwing blows blindly. Tasu chuckled softly to himself as he waited for an opportunity, a clear path to the boy’s face. Once he found it, he reached back and struck at the boy’s face, effectively knocking him down.

The boy began bawling his eyes out---being the youngest of the five attackers---which ignited a fire under the remaining three boys’ butts. They charged forward, hoping to take out Tasu with numbers.

Although their plan made sense, Tasu quickly figured it out and reacted accordingly. He struck quickly, hitting the largest of the boys and knocking him out. For the other two boys, he struck at their shins, throwing their balance off. They fell to the floor disheartened. They were at a loss of words - as was the audience.

“Cage my enemies and prevent escape.” He chanted, directing the magic towards the five boys. Nate jumped out of the magic’s range, watching as the boys were locked in an invisible box. Zach and the two still conscious boys tried to stand up but were pinned to the ground by the box. It restricted their moment, giving them enough room to shuffle around in a circle. They watched as the audience loudly roared at them, laughing at their fates, before the Sisters could silence them.

Tasu turned towards the audience and cleared his throat. He wanted to make sure the others understood his action. He didn’t crave fighting and existed purely for that. Instead, he wanted to secure an upbringing he had for the next generation after him.

“I don’t fight to have the orphanage under my grip. I fight to protect the safe environment that we live in. We are here because of many reasons, but we all need one thing. Love. We only get that in a safe environment, not one that is plagued by fights and terror. For those who want to disrupt peace or challenge me because of a stupid title, then you are free to but don’t be scared to go down.” Tasu announced - a light burning in his eyes. His words affected the other orphans and frightened most of them “Now you can enjoy your lunch in peace,” He said walking off. Sister Marie walked up to him and grabbed his arm, dragging him off. Nate, Tessa, and Angelica watched as he disappeared from their sights.

“That boy, I wanted to jump in for a little bit of action,” Tessa whispered.

“Can it!” Nate whisper-shouted. “You heard Tasu. We’re doing this to protect the orphanage, not make it a free-for-all for dominance. This is not seven years ago.”

“I sure hope it isn’t,” Tessa remarked.

“It won’t be.” Nate stared off towards the ceiling. “It will never be again.”

Episode Thirty Seven "Failed Summoner And Her Weak Summon S1 E7 - First Duel"

Chase charged towards Fenrir, hoping to land the first strike. Knowing that he was at a disadvantage, he wanted to dent Fenrir's health before it could act. However, his first strike---filled with his hopes---fell short. Fenrir dodged the attack with ease, swerving around Chase.

“The dog already surrounded me,” Chase muttered to himself. “I’m stuck.” He tried another attack, but the Fenrir swerved around him. It was now apparent that Fenrir was playing with him, humiliating him as Alexia would do to Ashanti.

Chase backed away from Fenrir, trying to create distance between him and the legendary monster. What could he---a weak human---do against a beast feared by many. It was like a baby trying to kill God himself.

Overhead, Ashanti watched with wide eyes as Fenrir played with Chase, forcing him to exert all of his energy. If he wasn’t careful, he would soon collapse and give Alexia the win.

Alexia looked at Ashanti, grinning largely. “Ha! See! The strength gap is too large! It’s suicide for your weak human!” She arrogantly declared. “I can’t wait to have him as my servant, forced to follow all of my demands. I wonder-” She formed an ‘L’ with her arms, placing her left hand on her lips. She furrowed her brows, acting as if she was thinking about everything she could do to Chase “-what should I order him to do first? Cut his wrists? Force him to act as Fenrir’s plaything? I wonder?”

Ashanti scowled. He won’t lose… will he? She thought. He can’t lose, he told me he won’t.

Meanwhile, Chase raced around the arena, attacking with all of his might. However, the blows were being easily dodged by Fenrir, almost as if he was nothing more than an insect.

“Damn,” he whispered to himself. “I won’t be able to defeat it easily. It appears that I’m going to have to use that.”

Chase charged forward, brandishing a normal hunting knife from his pocket. The knife appeared to be dipped in a green slime-like substance; its appearance similar to neon-green.

Fenrir waited for his attack, sidestepping to avoid his straightforward attack. However, the beast didn’t realize that---during the charge---he brandished a second neon-green knife and had waited for Fenrir to escape his straightforward attack. With Fenrir believing that he was doing a normal attack, Chase would be able to launch the second knife in the direction of Fenrir. The beast wasn’t expecting the attack, getting pierced by the attack.

Alexia--watching from overhead---had her jaw collapse. She never expected Chase to land a single hit. Nevertheless, she recovered quickly, barking orders for Fenrir to go on the offensive. She didn’t want to become a laughingstock in the village by letting Chase get enough hits on Fenrir to damage it or kill it. If Chase won, she would definitely become a laughingstock.

Ashanti---filled with joy---watched as Chase spun on his heels and plunged the knife he held into Fenrir. He then backed away, grinning dumbly. However, the two knives that he plunged into Fenrir wouldn’t be enough to topple the beast.

“This is crazy, the weak human has damaged Fenrir! Wow, now can he kill it or make it collapse?” Ejak shouted. “The audience cannot believe this. A mere mortal hurt a legendary beast!”

“His name is Chase, not weak human!” Ashanti shouted at Ejak. He heard her, taking note.

“Okay, the weak-” He cut himself off. “Chase seems to know what he’s doing, but I’m afraid that two normal knives aren’t enough to topple Fenrir. Even so, let’s wait and see if he has any other aces up his sleeve!”

Chase glanced up at Ejak before turning his attention on the Fenrir. It seemed bewildered by being damaged by Chase and the flood of orders from Alexia. It was being overwhelmed but managed to keep its head. The only thing Fenrir was sure of... was that Chase needed to be killed.

Fenrir charged forward to attack Chase but felt sluggish. It looked down at its fur, noticing that there were patches of dark green around the knife. The patches were poison that was spreading all over.

Chase grinned to himself as Fenrir realized what happened. He glanced up at Alexia---who now realized that her summon was poisoned. “He’s cheating, he poisoned Fenrir!” She shouted from her spot. Ejak stared at her, dumbfounded. Poison was never against the rules, so he had no authority to do anything.

“Well… it appears that Chase poisoned Fenrir. It’s looking like Ashanti will win this duel!”

Alexia cried out as Fenrir was losing its strength. Chase---who watched as Fenrir was collapsing---smirked at her. He walked up to Fenrir, plunging two more knives into Fenrir; the killing shot.

Fenrir was dead, poisoned to its death. Alexia had talked and boasted about her summon, but she was now bawling her eyes out. She lost her summon and lost to Ashanti---the worst thing ever in her mind.

Ejak looked surprised at Chase’s win. He glanced around at the shocked audience before exclaiming, “Ashanti’s Chase has defeated Alexia’s Fenrir. It’s Ashanti’s win!”

“Did you talk to him?” Ashanti asked, standing at the entrance of Lucas’s hut. “What are you putting in his mind?”

Lucas looked up at her, sitting down on his homemade wooden table. “Nice to see you as well, sis.”

Ashanti crossed her arms and took a step forward. “Lucas, what did you tell him?”

“Nothing, sis. I never met him. I have seen him here and then, but he’s never approached me.”

Ashanti squinted her eyes.

Lucas chuckled softly to himself. He expected that she didn’t trust him. “Come on, sis. He doesn’t even know that I’m your brother. He probably saw me as a normal villager.”

Ashanti turned around, taking a step forward to stand in the doorframe. “If I find out that he knows you and the two of you’ve been scheming something behind my back, then…” Her voice trailed off as she tried to decide on a punishment.

“Do what, sis?” He asked her, furrowing his brows. “Never talk to me?”

Ashanti spun on her heels to face him. She walked up to him, slapping him harshly. She took a step backward. Lucas, smiling, playfully shook his head. “You know why I don’t talk to you anymore!” She spat.

“Yup, I know. What I did in the past…” His voice trailed off, lowering his gaze. He remembered the past vividly, understanding that he
