She slowed her mind and closed her eyes. Taking in a deep breathe, she opened her eyes and woke amongst vile gods and beloved friends.

“St-stop, Judor!”, gasped Els, she was weak, too weak to muster much more than loud whisper.

Judor who had been interrogating the gods about Els state, dove to her side before the last note of his name left her lips. Her voice, and revival filled Judor's heart with the most joyous music. Knoah grabbed by his own rush of curiosity followed Judor as he desperately hunted in the darkness of Els, and was now convinced love was a serious thing. The upset and emotional Judor - quickly went from alpha animal to zeta sap in a second.

Fuego leapt up to the center of the torquere, hovering above, motioning - flinging his hands back and forth. An opaque cube appeared around the diminishing burning sphere. Els recognised this mantra from Javan's memories, the white hot room.

“What are you doing?”, asked Knoah.

“He is cleansing. Negative energies can leave nasty curses. Anything or anyone that touches it can become infected, vegetation becomes poisonous to eat, people and animals become rabid, or insane”, explained Noobar.

“What were you doing”, Judor asked Els, looking down at her sternly.

“Good question”, interjects Noobar. “Someone such as you shouldn't be able to do such things... But then again, your island is full of Pheenomes”.

“Later”, Els dismissed Judor's question, looking away and down at her limp powerless body, it will take some time before her mind reconnects with it.

“Okay”, said Knoah, rolling his eyes. “I gotta question for you god guy. What were you doing down here, a few random demons rarely find there way down here, but never gods”.

“Its none of your business. You should be worshipping us. We just saved your little backwards tree-town”, said Fuego, standing in the air above the shrinking torquere.

Noobar shook his head. “Firstly my name is Noobar, God of smoke. Secondly, we hunted this demon and his brother, who ended up being hunted or meeting some pheenomes which resulted in us following them here, really simple”, said Noobar.

Fuego went back to his white hot barrier, which quickly reduced in size as it broke down the torquere. The purple flames writhe about, lashing out in an attempt to break free. Els looked at the squirming purple bubble, focusing on its silent scream; she was sure no one else could hear the squeals. Soon the torquere along with the remnants of Javan had disappeared, leaving a gleaming purple marble. Noobar took great interest in the curious little marble, encasing it in a thick smoke before gently lifting it into a leather pouch.

“What’s that?”, asked Els, her energy returning to her for a second.

“Look mortie. You are lucky to be alive, just cool off”, said Fuego.

“I am not sure... Nothing should remain after a torquere”, said Noobar.

“Let me have it”, stated Els firmly, if she had any real strength she would have taken it from the god.

“Child, what I do know is this has cursed anti-life running through it. What will you do when it spawns a calamity?”, asked Noobar.

“Morties know nothing”, laughed Fuego, turning from the group “Let’s go”. Jets of hot air - burst from his fists and feet - propelling him into the air.

“What do you mean a calamity?”, asked Knoah.

“It’s what happens to immortal kirah once the mind has gone insane or been removed from it. Basically a natural disaster”, said Noobar, before summoning a cloud seat and joining Fuego in disappearing into the distance.

By the time the three reached the dilapidated gates of Lonston it was nightfall. The various fires they spotted earlier still raged, but now civilians rushed around fighting the blazes. Zulon’s appeared without warning, surrounding the group - after a short stand off the identities of the returning Urhan initiates were confirmed, and the Zulon's lead Judor and Els to the healers. While Knoah went off in search of friends, family, and his brother, Sabo.

Chapter 13 - Sluipsmoor

The warp cord - a mantric mechanism similar to the void rope, although more rigid. These objects are used by D'hono level Knights, and higher, in times of importance. Activating the warp cord allows the initiator to be pulled through the green space back to Quorth in an instant. As soon as the black key in the fleshy pulsating green box is turned, no matter where in Gaiterra the knight may be; a door to the menacing kingdom is opened. The path through space can also be used to call reinforcements, depending on the circumstance and level of importance the initiating knight commands.

After the battle on Venzeca, a desperate Kumi fled through the green space to safety; his first stop the Knights temple, and entrance to the Sluipsmoor.

In the east of Quorth, placed in the middle of the coastal market town of Sillixi sits a brilliant city of white stone; elegant buildings are separated into blocks by canals flowing in all directions, most eventually leading to the sea port. Quorth had swiftly become the most magnificent built nation in Gaiterra; even the grand cities of the old Youllon empire pale in comparison.

There is little space for nature in this once luscious land. Before Quorth was founded and achieved its current level of domination the major power on the continent of Huo was mighty nation, Eura. Since those rural war torn eras, the fields of yellow meadows and sparsely populated regions have been completely replaced. In the short space of a few centuries the aggressiveness of Quorth put a stranglehold on the whole continent. Now powerful continents quack when hearing the name of this mighty nation.

The royal Narrcicus bloodline has been crucial to this feat. With progression and order as their prime directives, each ruler has overseen large scale constructions on every inch of land conquered. Originally starting in the east, by the time the mighty kingdoms crusade reached the west of the continent, not one field was left.

“This is all your peoples fault, showing up with their weird strength. Totally ruined my hunt. You better be useful…”, said Kumi, staggering through the cold streets of Sillixi, carrying a large brown sack over his shoulder.

Every few steps Kumi's path is illuminated by movement sensing, street orbs. The cool blue light pings off the surrounding white walls, washing out the dim green hue of Saitama’s night light.

The dirt and rips covering his dark purple leather combat suit are the signs of a hard fought mission. Tired, and beginning to feel the effects of the opain, Kumi drops the large sack from his shoulder.

“You even awake in there?”, quizzed Kumi. “I didn’t hit you that hard... This is pointless if you died”.

Kumi unravelled the sack, opening the end to reveal the black, fuzzy, mohawk crown of a purple skinned youngster, a Venzecan. Kumi stood up, to look down on his captive, studying him for any signs of consciousness. The Venzecan laid totally still. He then bent over, stopping his face at a distance where he was close enough to feel the hot breathe of the young man. He listened closely, blocking out the sound of running canal water.

SLAAAAAAAAAAAP! The sound of skin on skin echoed through the empty street. With a sharp swing of his arm he crashed a hefty open-hand across the face of the unconscious man.

“Aaagh, renkin... Who th”.

SLAAAAAAAAAAAP! Before the man could finish his waking screams of confusion, Kumi unleashed another hit, this time with the back of his hand.

“Good, your up. Name and title?”. Kumi looked at the lad waiting for his response. But the kidnapped Venzecan blankly looked back at him; shocked and blinking. “... Whatever, time for you to start walking”, smiled Kumi.

“Aaaargh it's you, you renkin-hole!”.

“Renkin... Hole?”, replied an amused Kumi.

Wearing a puzzled expression on his face the Venzecan looked around quickly, his head spinning left to right frantically - the back of his head scraping on the hard cold ground. Then he sat up in his sack, looking around with his face slapped full of shock. Kumi stood before him with a smile as wide as his face.

“What's wrong?”, smirked Kumi.

“Where am I? You renkin-hole”.

“Pardon? My name is Kumi, I’m a Knight, D'Hono class... And we are almost home, so get up and start walking”, demanded Kumi, taking a few steps away.

“I am not going anywhere! Where am I?”. The Venzecan released his kirah into the atmosphere, the frequency of the atmosphere felt completely off, there was no scent of nature or the electrical discharge of natural energy.

Kumi smiled in response, this posturing amused him. He walked casually over to the lad, and struck him once more - this time with a hard closed fist. The immense weight of Kumi’s punch came crashing down on the jaw of the mouthy youth, toppling him over.

“You forget your place, you remember where we met, no. You came at me - me... I was just trying to escape and take a hostage, but you killed my precious Denaar. Do you know what a disgrace that is?”. Kumi stopped and scrutinised the Venzecan. “No, you don’t. And you have the balls to mouth off to me, me Kumi, a D’Hono”, he exclaimed.

He then proceeded to rip the sack from the captive. Revealing Sabo's black zulon combat suit. Placing a small silver disc on his chest, he tapped it twice; the device vibrated into action - binding the captives upper body in a glowing red cloth. Kumi then pulled the glockul from his holster.

“You remember this to, no. This killed your whole lil platoon, right... Now, get up!”, shouted Kumi, having lost his Denaar - he was in a foul mood, but the hopes this pheenome would be enough to save his pale blue skin, slightly improved his demeanour.

The youths heart sank, he remembered the weird weapon very well. “Why, why am I here?”, said the broken captive. Staggering to his feet, wobbling and emotional.

“What's your name?”.

“...Sabo”.

“Yowavcum Sabo!”, bellowed Kumi, swinging his arms out wide. “You Sabo, to return home, wounded and without my Denaar. Well let's say I would be in for a rough welcome. That is why I secured pheenome specimen... What's your island called?”. With one hand he grabs the athletic shoulder of Sabo, then prods his pistol into his chest; the sharp dagger ends scratch against the steel like fibres of the boalifera threaded combat suits.

“...Qush”.

“Haaaa, show me on a map later? Yeah”.

“... Maybe”, said Sabo, looking to the ground.

“Hmm. Do you know what’s funny, the central lands of this kingdom, the mighty Kingdom of Quorth”. Kumi stopped and looked around, then leaned in closer to Sabo. “This is a secret, so don’t tell anyone ok - we are trying to conquer the Youllon empire”, whispered Kumi.

“So - why do I care”, replied Sabo.

Kumi smiled. “Youllo used to be called Qush, a long, long time ago. Haahahaa, funny right", said Kumi, starring straight into the eyes of Sabo. “Let’s go”.

Placing his hand in front of him, and making a circular gesture with his index and thumb, another red ribbon flowed from the metallic disc on Sabo's chest, wafting through the air and into the hand of Kumi. Grasping
