The beginning

This might not sound like much, but it heavily affected me after it was all said and done. It was around October of last year when I meet this one girl from my math class when we were outside for an emergency practice that the school was doing. I had a liking for her a little, and wanted to become friends with her, but I was too scared to talk to her. My friend Cody Gordon helped me and told her that I wanted to say “hi”, and after that, we eventually became friends. I had found out that her name was Elizabeth Jackson, and that she liked a lot of things I did, like drawing, the Transformer series, music, and other things. On ‘A Days’, I saw her in the morning, lunch, and math class towards end of the day. On ‘B Days’ i only saw her in the morning and math. After the emergency practice we had to go into the gym and wait a few minutes for some reason before we went back to class. I had found out that she had no friends, I so I asked if I could be friends with her and she said yes. Everyday after that I would go and hang out with her at the front of the school, but after a while we started going to the cafeteria. At lunch we would sit with her and we would talk about all kinds of things, but everyday she would ask me a weird question like what I had for dinner but I was fine with that, I was the only one she trusted and still her only friend, even when she talked to my friends.

November then came, and I started to like her a little more because she liked a lot of things I liked. For a little while I was trying to ask her out but she got too nervous every time I brought it up so I didn’t ask. She told me to wait until she got home to ask her. Since I had her mom’s number I was able to text her so we would message each other after school when we got home. On November 9, 2015 I asked her after school and she said yes. I was so happy, even her mom was excited, since I was her first boyfriend. One day her mom asked her if she could take a picture of me, but I don’t know why though, but my guess is that she probably just wanted to know what I look like. Even though I asked her out, we still acted like friends, which I was fine with, and just hanging with her was fun. Sometimes we would draw pictures for both of us, and I still have them in my binder, which is in my backpack so that I don’t forget her. She was really good at drawing. She would always draw dragons, or animatronics like the ones from “Five Nights At Freddy’s”. She even created one of her own which looked really cool. Her favorite animatronic was Springtrap from “Five Nights At Freddy’s 3.”

She would always play “Five Nights at Freddy’s” on her phone at lunch or she would play this other game about cats. We both like cats but not really dogs cause dogs just seem to be too much to handle. I was also the only one she trusted with her phone at lunch, my friend Matthew riess tried to take it from my hand and she smacked his hand. She really didn’t trust anyone but me and her mom.

December arrived, and we only had three weeks before christmas break, which I didn’t really want though. The first week went normally, but still fun. On Monday of the second week, it all began to fall apart. She told me she had to move because of her mom's job and was moving over christmas break. I got a little sad because I would probably never see her again. The one happy thing was that it was getting close to her birthday and I asked what she wanted. She told me she wanted a necklace that was a silver moon. I was lucky enough to get it, and I was going to surprise her with it on Friday. On Friday morning, I told her I had a surprise for her and she got happy. I gave her the necklace, and after that she always wore it with the rest of her necklaces. She felt bad that she didn’t get me anything for my birthday, but it didn’t bother me, since I had her, but the next day, she bought “Assassins Creed 3” for me which I was happy about. I still have the game but after that, we tried to find a way to still make it work out when she moved, which it sort of did. It was the last week of school, and the last day of the week. It was our last day together and i wanted to make it the best day. The one bad thing is that it was a half day and we didn’t get to see each other much, but luckily I was able to find her in the huge crowd of people that went to the cafeteria. She was holding a few posters and a plate of cookies and other food from a party they had. She asked if I wanted some, but I wasn’t hungry. I made a mistake though by telling her that I would probably miss my bus and told her that I had to go. We hugged and left but I didn’t realize that we had plenty of time to talk for the last few moments that we had. After realizing this, I tried to find her, but I never could. That was the last day I ever saw her. Christmas break was fun, and when it ended I was happy to go back to school to see her, but I  had forgotten that she was gone. I got really sad, but I was still happy because I was able to still talk to her. But then another bad thing happen, a week later she tells me she had to break up with me because it wasn’t going to work out, in which I got even more sad. Then I made another mistake by making her mom mad at me for annoying her about Elizabeth. Now her mother doesn’t want to talk to me anymore. At one point I almost made her mom get furious, so I just stopped talking to her.

Luckily, Elizabeth was able to get a new phone, and she was able to  talk to me. But as the year came to an end, she started to talk to me less and less. At one point I got depressed for over three months. I was able to get over it, but I still have memories of her, which still makes me sad today. Every day i think of her, but I can’t help it, she was one of the greatest friends I have ever had. One thing that made me mad was that since she left me because of the distance, my friends started to call her names and that I shouldn’t worry about it. Another bad thing is that my friend, Logan Starr got my hopes up because he said she would come back in two to three years, but I don’t think she is. The last time I was able to talk to Elizabeth was in may of this year. She found a website that we could draw on, and we would draw for hours, but our computers were taken up, and I couldn’t talk to her. This year, I’ve tried to talk to her, but she never answers. Even though she might not come back, I still have a little hope that she will.
