The Bully

~The flames kept coming she couldn't dodge for much longer and she was running out of strength she didnt know what to do.~ She heard her alarm clock go off. "Brooklyn wake up!you have to go to school!" called her mom. Brooklyn has always liked her dream world more than her real life. It was always full of adventure and epic proportions.

Brooklyn got out of bed,got dressed, stuffed a pop tart in her mouth and ran out the door she was going to miss the bus if she didn't hurry. She got to the bus stop just in time. She got on but was disappointed to see that there was no open seat except for the one next to someone she didn't know. He had black hair that appeared to be badly underbrush and had glasses. "Hello" Brooklyn said to the stranger. His only reply was him taking out his inhaler breathing a lot of it in. When she got to school Derek the guy who is always picking on her was waiting for her outside. "Whats up Brook" he said in a taunting voice. "Why do you hate me? what did i ever do to you?"
"Uh do i even have to answer that question nerd?" Brooklyn hated being called nerd and her face turned red and her mind was racing with other comments but all she said was "OH MY GOSH DEREK JUST LEAVE ME ALONE" and half a second later she heard something blow. Pants of the ceiling exploded with water and broken pipes falling out. All of a sudden somebody screamed and the bathroom doors exploded open and all the water flooded the school.

Brooklyn was out cold for a half hour. She thought she was dreaming but the ground was soaked and the school was destroyed. She saw the black haired guy and he looked pale and was sobbing. She ran over to see him. Everyone else seemed ok. She found his ID card and called the number it said to call if emergency. His name was Ken. "hello?" said what Brook thought was his dad. "Hello?your son he-" she started but was then cut off "What happened is he alright?
"I don't know"
"Where is he?"
"By the school, all the water-" she started but his guardian hung up before she could finish.

Ken's guardian had brown hair and glasses, the same ones Ken had. "Is he okay?" Brooklyn asked
"I don't know...I'll have to take him to the hospital."
"Are you his father?" The man laughed "Of coarse not,his father died in a hurricane."
"Oh,sorry i brought it up..."
"It's fine, thanks for the call." then after that he was gone. Brooklyn felt some kind of connection with Ken,like they were destined to know each other. she shook her head and started looking for her friend. "Hey Brook." called her friend Josh. "Oh there you are. Are you okay? that came out of nowhere."
"Yeah it did and im fine. What about you?"
"I'm not hurt hurt at all for some reason."
"Oh ok well come on I'll walk you home."
"Ok thanks Josh."

The Water People

After Josh left Brooklyn made some soup and watched TV in her room. She felt somewhat guilty about what happened at school. She felt bad for Ken, it seemed like the water hurt him the most. The story about the water was all over the News, they think it was a plumbing problem but it seemed like much more.

When she finished the soup she still felt hungry. She usually isn't that hungry. Her mom came home and asked why she wasn't at school."The school exploded with water." She replied as normally as possible."What?!? How? When?"
"Yep, I don't know, and like an hour ago." She shook her head and gave her a strange look. "Okay then, as long as your okay." Her mom smiled then walked to her room. Brooklyn thought it would be a lot worse then walked to her room, and fell asleep.

~She was at a fountain with Ken. It had designs that had something of all the myths she ever read. He drank from it then he got mad, his eyes turned red and his hair caught on fire.~ She woke up but she wasn't in her bed and it was extremely hot wherever she was. She felt dehydrated for the first time in her life and all she could do was lay there. She saw Ken's guardian but she thought she was hallucinating. She also saw Ken laying on a rock and he looked like he had hypothermia. She fell asleep again.

~Brooklyn was surrounded by water, she seemed to be controlling it. It was as if she were part of the water herself. Around her was a field of tornadoes not going anywhere, a whole range of volcanoes, and giant stone pillars surrounded by giant cracks in the earth. Her brown hair seemed to be blending into the water.~

The entire thing was a dream, she thought to herself. Ken couldn't really be made of fire, and she couldn't really be made of water. She got off her bed and walked to the family room and just sat there for a minute. She turned the TV on after a while and found a note taped to the remote ~I'll be gone for a while if you go anywhere be back by ten o'clock-Mom~ the note read. "Okay ill go to Josh's house" she said out loud to herself. She walked to Josh's house but he wasn't home. She sighed and started to walk back. Half way back to her house a red car was speeding straight toward her. She turned and ran. It seemed to be following her. Every time she turned it followed her like it wanted her death. She ran as fast and turned more than she ran. Brooklyn got close to her house and half way there she tripped. She got back up and wondered why people didn't get back up in movies. She made it to her house and ran to he backyard. The car crashed through her house and she knew it wouldn't stop until it hit her. She was about to give up when all the water in her house turned into little liquid people and went into the car. A minute later the water people crawled out of the car and the car stopped. She had no idea what was happening. She just sat there in the grass thinking she was delirious. It all happened so fast. She was running then the water people came. She couldn't think of any way it could of happened. She tried Josh's house again. This time she waited there until he got home. It was way past ten by the time he got home but she didn't care she just needed to tell someone that would believe her. When josh walked up to the porch he saw the horrified look on her face. "What happened are you okay?" he said after a minute. "A car ran into my house and almost ran me over. I fell and thought it was gone but then little water people came and stopped the car for me."
"Little water people? Are you sure? or were you dreaming?"
"I'm sure."
"proof?"
"Yeah follow me."

The journey begins

When they got back to Brooklyn's house, everything was the same way she left it. Brook's mom still wasn't home and the car was still there but the guy in the car was gone, he probably ran back home after he snapped back into consciousness.
