Introduction;
It had started about two years ago, when the first report came in from somewhere in the Eastern Europe, countless people were getting sick and dying. Doctors, like myself believed it to be another plague, and in some way it was only this plague spread so rapidly, the medical fields couldn’t keep up with it. It spread like a wild fire with no limit to how much it burned down. It created mutants, something from a fantasy, which was more common than Dracula, Zombies.
For the first few weeks the army contained and destroyed those infected with the disease, at first it seemed to be working, the signs of the illness became less and less, giving us Doctors more room to breathe, more room to work, more room to try and cure; than one of the patients in the hospital attacked the nurse who was taking his vitals, tore out her throat and continued on eating her flesh. The disease hadn’t been made scarce, but more adapt with the medicines. It had gotten so far ahead of us that when the medicines stopped working, we had no choice but to relay on brute force, until even that failed.
The world had come to a standstill, I will not say it has come to an end for there are those of us who had survived the outbreak and its’ after masses. None of us immune to the illness but still surviving. Even though civilization as we had known it had come crumbing down and our families; God bless their hearts, had been either turned or had become food for the Walking Dead, we had managed to survive. A gang of us barely ranging from the ages of 12 to 26; we had gathered food and water, as much of it as we could manage and made a safe haven; of some sort. Each and every one of us always living the constant fear and knowledge; that just beyond the gates that surrounded our refuge was the world we’d left behind and its new occupants..
