Life is a magical and mysterious thing that can twist and warp in ways that we can never even begin t comprehend, we disregard some of the most amazing things in our world, the things that stare us right in the face and they go unnoticed, it’s incredible, the world in its self is incredible, and I only just realised it.
I cracked open the fortune cookie that lay in front of me, the Chinese had been great, chicken chow main, stir fried rice, noodles, prawn crackers and finally, that infamous fortune cookie. I was superstitious, very superstitious, and so superstitious in fact that it worried me sometimes. So in my head, anything that could be in this fortune cookie, whatever it said, and whatever I had to do, in my mind eye would be my immediate future. Yet I was still not prepared for the events that were about to unfold before my very eyes.
I cracked open the cookie and wisps of purple smoke seeped from within it, the enveloped my body, the purple mist slowly covering me entirely, swallowing me up. I tried to scream but the mist dived into my throat, seemingly to stop my screams. My eyes were open wide, terrified as the shot around the room, trying to see a way out of this mist, but the mist was ever present, there was no escape. It tightened, the very air around me squeezed in as did the air within, and everything went dark.
My eyes slowly opened and a large groan escaped my lips, it felt like I had been hit over the head with a metal baseball bat. As the darkness dissipated from my vision I realised I was not in London anymore. It felt unreal, like a scene straight out of a slightly more twisted version of “the wizard of OZ”. I had ended up in a small room, it looked almost like the dungeon of a castle; cobble floor, stone brick walls, a wooden table in the centre of the room with nothing but a piece of bread, which looked as if it had been there for a very long time and was most likely stale . I tried to move but fell short of even that, I managed to incline my head slightly to the right and the sight I beheld sent a new wave of chills through my being, I was shackled and fastened to the wall of the room, my hands balled up and I strained against the chains to no avail I was well and truly trapped. With no idea where I was, little knowledge of my arrival other than the purple smoke, I knew one thing, I would not be rescued.
The door to my personal prison swung open, and there she stood, in all her beauty, a girl who looked as if she was a princess, and in this world who knows, probably was. Her golden hair flowed in ripples to the small of her back, her blue eyes glistened brightly from under her eyelids, and her lips were plump and red, her nose cute and button like she looked like a goddess, a deity to walk upon mortal men. She took a step into the room and observed me closely, scrutinised me, her eyes flared in recognition that could not have existed.
“Oh peter, what they have done to you” she choked out, tears streaming down her face.
I didn’t respond, I was shocked, she knew my name, how on earth did she know my name, it was impossible, completely implausible but there it was, right there, and like auditory nectar her words flowed into my ears.
“After all these years you have returned, I kept your love notes in a little box on my bedside cabinet, never once did I forget you.” She smiled a watery smile and stepped toward me, before I could utter a word her hand rose to my cheek gently caressed my face, her lips met mine. Sparks erupted from my body; they literally erupted from my body. The princess disintegrated in the energy, her body just fell apart. I roared, I didn’t know what was happening, the electricity formed a cocoon around me and slowly closed in. I felt power like never before course through my veins, I was new, powerful, and I felt like I could rule the world. In the back of my mind I knew I had to get back to my world, to return to normal, after all my parents and friends would be worried. But that could wait, I was powerful first I wanted some fun.
The years passed and I slowly fell further down the route of evil, it was as if the girls kiss all that time ago had unlocked some kind of hidden potential. I had destroyed and concurred, but now it was time for food. The Chinese had been great, chicken chow main, stir fried rice, noodles, prawn crackers and finally, that infamous fortune cookie. I was superstitious, very superstitious, and so superstitious in fact that it worried me sometimes. So in my head, anything that could be in this fortune cookie, whatever it said, and whatever I had to do, in my mind eye would be my immediate future.
I cracked the cookie open and a deep blood red mist poured out of the biscuits shell, it swirled around me. I roared and let my own energy flow out of my body in an attempt to rid myself of the mist, but it was to no avail. My surges of energy were quickly quelled by the mist, it surrey. The mist surrounded me and slowly closed in, spinning around me, slowly squeezing me inside and out. Then all went dark.
This time when I awoke I was back in the living room, mere seconds before I had opened the cookie, I breathed in the cool air of my home, the familiar smell of the house bringing a tear to my eye. I was home and no time had passed. I cracked open the fortune cookie that lay before me and it revealed a piece of paper. It read:
“True loves kiss is nothing can lead to the work of evil”
love is just evol spelt backwards..........
