Journal #1
The words you will read were written by me, Joey Coela. You can choose to believe what I write or pass it off as fiction, a fairy tale. No matter what you think though, keep this journal and read it. It may be the only evidence that I ever lived. Ponder my words.
My incredible journey began one day when I awoke in a tree house. I'm not talking a "kid-and-dad-nail-some-pieces-of-wood-together" tree house. I'm talking a three-story furnished home.
So anyways, I got up from the floor of this amazing place and tried not to panic.
I'm not very good at this so I did the obvious thing. I freaked.
After running around, sweat beads on my forehead, the house for about ten minutes, I decided I was getting nowhere. Besides, I was starving, haven eaten no dinner the night before. So there I was, sitting down, listening to my grumbling stomach.
You may be thinking that you
would've gotten up and done something useful and smart. But let me tell you, have you ever woken up in a strange place like this? It's scary, especially because the place was deserted. There was no dust though. Weird.
Anyways, I guess I fell asleep again because I remember waking up and seeing this thing
flying around above me. It looked like a fat chicken. It was uglier than any chicken I've ever seen. Instead of bird feet, the thing had two, slimy green tentacles, with little suction cup things. It's tongue shot out of it's mouth and into the air.
I mean literally shot out. This slimy black thing just flew out of the chicken-octopus's mouth and flew around a corner. At first, I wasn't even sure it was a tongue. I've never seen a black tongue before. Well, except for the one time I ate the ink cartridge thing in a pen on a dare... I do not
recommend ink pens for a mid-morning snack.
