He turned at the sound of running feet. A fist that was herald at his face connected. He hit the table with a thundering crash. Splinters stabbed into his bare arms. Has he stands he starts to pull out a splinter's. He paused, listening for movement. The whisper of a footstep to his left. He turned, lashed out blindly, felt his fist connect with the flesh of someone or something.......

He awoke with a start. The light hurt his eyes, the sound cascaded his ears. His whole body seemed to ache. At first, for one bliss half-second, he thought he was back home, in his bed. But a car zoomed by, splashing water onto him, and as the water crashed down on him, so did the memories. The abandonment still hurt like a fresh coal. His Blonde hair still wet from the car, he starts to walk down the street. As a a man with a hatred towards homeless people walk passed and pushed him.

He screams, "you stupid bum why dont you go get a job?"
