Jonathan
I talked to Felicity for the rest of the night, it was nice, she was nice, sometimes Hugh, Ela or Visola would come over, most people started to leave but since Felicity was new we would have to stock her up about stuff, about stuff that we couldn’t tell her before she was Chosen.
“So your telling me that my great-great-great grandmother was a black belt karate and knew seven different languages just to be Chosen?” her voice said everything, she was astounded, I had to tell her about her family tree about the Chosen Ones and we started with her great-great-great grandmother, but Hugh, Ela and I knew that it started way further back, but didn’t think she needed to know that right know.
“yeah, pretty much, I mean she was poor, she didn’t work and get money, her work was protecting her part of the land with the other Chosen Ones” I smiled, her face was surprised, she sat on the log near me her legs crossed, her back wasn’t straight but a little slumped down, her elbows rested on her knees. Her mouth was partly open, like a small O shape.
“Oh” was the only word that came out of her mouth.
Hugh walked over from closer near the fire; he sat with Ela for ages, talking most likely about Felicity. The light of the fire hit his face and I could tell he was more relaxed, I guess Ela didn’t know the effect she had on him, if anyone could see that Hugh was angry, upset or just mad you could bet that Ela could be the one to cheer him up or calm him down, looked like it was one of those days, huh.
“We gotta go know Flick, you’ve got collage tomorrow, and after school studying, Oh and Jonathan will help you out with the studying since it will be about the Chosen Ones, you can say that Jonathan is a Chosen Witch History Geeky Nerd”
He laughed loud, I joined in, and Felicity stayed quite watching us, I could see a smile on her face, and it smiled into a big grin.
“Yeah, thanks mate, sure ill come over to yours I got to go to the collage anyway, I’m helping out the art class, seems my skills are truly amazing” I smiled, Felicity stood up next to Hugh, I realised then that Felicity was kind of tall, she had to be at least 5.7 next to Hugh who was 6, I only knew that because we had a joke about how I was taller but Bavol said he would settle it once and for all, it happen for a least a year, ending up being that I was shorter I was 5.9, that meant I had to pay for his beer for a week, but Hugh hardly drank so I hardly had to pay anything.
“No worries” Hugh said trying not to laugh “Hey Jono, shouldn’t you be at the gym more, rather than looking like Picasso?”
“Funny Hugh, nah, I guess I’m great at both, see you at the gym this Wednesday?” I asked hoping that he wasn’t doing anything, I really needed to get back in the gym after all we did have a cross country run around the forest soon, we needed to make sure that we weren’t just good with our magic but with our physical strength to. We had like an army camp that we set up, not far from here, we tried working on the roped and weights but sometimes it was just easier to go to the local gym.
