able to know these names as they’re from two separate universes. Historia (this story’s universe) and Creationverse/Tales of Azteca aren’t from the same universe. Episode Ten "Other World"

Aver led the other back to Striktin, carrying Ariana. Mace awoke Silver to help with carrying Catrina and the adventurers.

Once they reached Striktin, Orion and Dawn woke up from their dazed states, apologizing before they left. They needed to rid themselves of fatigue in their inn beds.

Mace and Silver dispersed to contact the mayor and guild leader about the assassins they faced. Something seemed off to them, almost sinister in nature. Even though assassins were already beings made of evil.

Kira, on the other hand, had stayed with Aver and the others to take everybody inside. By his side was Scarlett, quietly following them.

They quickly reached their inn. Standing outside of the inn, on the front steps, was Ace. He was watching Teresa run around with her pet, which she nicknamed Act. The ‘A’ in Act stood for Ace, the ‘c’ stood for Catrina, and the ‘t’ was Teresa’s name; a perfect combination of their names. The Terrigan Wolf stood as the symbol of their family; father, mother, and child.

“Ace!” Aver shouted as they neared the inn. Ace glanced at them, jumping up. He raced over to them, grabbing Catrina before Ariana. He helped deliver them into the inn’s reserved second-floor rooms. He carefully laid Catrina on the bed before helping Aver with Ariana. Kira watched on the sidelines, staring at Ace.

According to Ariana, he was an otherworlder like him. However, it appeared that he had emerged into this word quite recently. Unlike Kira, who had been living in Historia for half a century, Ace was new to the land.

“You’re Kira?” Ace asked, walking out of Aver and Ariana’s room. He left Aver to watch over Ariana. “Aver said that you were an otherworlder?”

Kira nodded his head. “I was teleported here fifty years ago.”

“Fifty years!” Ace exclaimed, furrowing his brows. “You look younger than me!”

Kira shook his head. “You’re sixteen, right?” Ace nodded his head. “I arrived in this world when I was fifteen. I was granted a skill from a godde-” Ace clamped his hand over Kira’s mouth. He watched as somebody, dressed in a cloak, passed by the inn’s open doors.

“Let’s talk about this privately.” Ace said. Kira nodded, motioning for him to follow up the stairs to his room. Ace shook his head, pointing outside. “First, I need to check up on Teresa. Act is not even a day old, I doubt that he’ll be able to protect her. And-” He pointed at Scarlett who sat on the front steps. “-I have no idea who she is, but I saw her with you. I’m not sure what happened to you guys in the forest, but if that child is under your care, then take good care of her.”

Kira nodded, walking past Ace to meet with Scarlett. “I’m sorry, follow me to my room. You’ll be living with me for now until we figure out stable conditions for you.” He told her. He glanced up at Ace who watched him.

“It’s fine,” she lowered her head. She took Kira’s words as he’ll find another family to take care of her; rehoming her in Earth terms.

Ace walked past them and went up to Teresa who was playing with Act. “Teresa, get inside. I’m going to talk with him-” he pointed at Kira. “-for a moment.”

“But I want to play with Act outside.” She said, showing him puppy eyes.

“But…” He stammered, trying to fight against her puppy eyes. However, her puppy eyes were too much for him to handle, forcefully making him concede. “A couple of minutes, then you’ll need to go back inside.”

“Yay!” She ran around with Act following after her like a dog. Slightly bigger than a dog, but a dog nonetheless.

“Stay away from strangers. If they try to touch you, run away and find me. I’ll save you.”

“Like my hero,” she joked.

Ace grinned, watching over Teresa for a moment, before heading back into the inn. Kira followed after him, leading Scarlett into the room with them.

“Okay, let’s first discuss-” Ace glanced at a chair positioned to look out of the large window. He moved the chair to face the bed, sitting down. “-about your age. You mentioned skills.”

“I was killed about fifty years ago, hit by a trailer. I was then reincarnated into this world; Historia’s the full name, I believe.” Kira sat down on the bed, facing Ace. “I’ve been living in the forest for the past half a century until I came across the Fizer party. They’re the adventurers that joined the future king and queen to meet with Nazifa.”

“Aver and Ariana,” Ace interjected.

“As for why I still look fifteen, it’s because I was granted Immortality by my goddess, the Goddess of Everest, Visa.”

“Visa?” Ace questioned. “As in the Visa Mastercard?”

“V-Visa Mastercard?” Kira raised his eyebrows.

“Nothing, keep going.”

Kira nodded his head, glancing at Scarlett. “She granted me two other skills, Freeze Strike and Gate, and dropped me in the forest. I was nearly eaten by Nazifa, but I managed to get a peaceful resolution. Since then, I’ve been living in the forest.” He stared at Ace. “What’s your story? I heard that you were summoned here, but I don’t know anything else.”

“I was living in the year 2019.”

“2019?” Kira questioned. “I wonder what 2019 looks like.”

“A lot different from 1969. We have electricity, phones, credit cards, an orange man for president…”

“Orange man? There are more skin colors than black and white?”

“Uh,” Ace steered the conversation back to his story of arriving in Historia. “I was summoned by King Mason from the Great Wolfstein kingdom to act as the bodyguard for Ariana.”

“That’s your reason for being here? Do you hate them from tearing you away from your life on Earth?” Kira asked him. He glanced at Scarlett, again, before looking back at Ace.

“I threw away my life on Earth. I was nothing more than a slob addicted to games. I lost everything, so getting a second chance like this is everything I could’ve imagined. Hell, it’s better than I could’ve wanted. I have a daughter!” Ace grinned to himself.

“You love her? She’s not your biological daughter, right?”

“I’m not her real father, but I see myself as him. I want to be a real father to her and I treat her as my daughter. Not an adoptive daughter or somebody I barely care about.”

“I see, “ He glanced at Scarlett for the third time. “I hope to see myself in a spot like that, one day.”

“You will, don’t worry about that.” Ace comforted him.

“Yeah,” Kira smiled at Scarlett, who looked away. She didn’t know this man enough to treat him as her family or even an acquaintance.

“Well, let me go-” Ace was interrupted by the sounds of fighting in the next room over. The fighting appeared to be Aver against an unknown.

“Ace, they’re kidnapping Ariana!” Aver shouted.

“Go help him, Kira, I’m going to grab Teresa and check on Catrina!” He shouted before sprinting out of the room. He flew down the stairs and leaped outside, searching for his daughter. Neither her nor Act was present. Where she once stood was a note.

“We took the girls, come to the warehouse to get them back.” It was signed by the Shadow Organization.

Kira opened a window on the second floor that overlooked the inn’s main entrance.“Catrina and Ariana’s are gone!” Aver shouted from the window, pushing past Kira in the process. “Assassins kidnapped them!”

“My second master would prefer if I waited until you reached the warehouse, but my first master would enjoy watching you die here.” A Shadow remarked, appearing from within a clump of darkness. By her side were a platoon of Shadows, appearing all around Ace and the inn. They were surrounded.

Episode Eleven "Resistance"

The Shadow, encased in a black cloak, took a step forward. “My second master would prefer if I waited until you reached the warehouse, but my first master would enjoy watching you die here.”

Tens of other Shadows appeared behind the first one, surrounding Ace and the group.

“Who are you?” He shouted at the first Shadow. “Why are you doing this to me?”

“Have you forgotten who we are? The Shadows that cling to the darkness and linger in it?” The Shadow asked him. Ace could tell that the Shadow was a female, but her voice didn’t match anybody that he met before. Then, it hit him. He had fought Shadows and a demon lord in a town by the capital. They hadn’t made much of an impression the first time around. They appeared stronger the second and third time around.

“Shadows? What do you want from me?” He asked her.

“Shall I repeat my mission or are you deaf?” She asked him, brandishing a dagger in her right arm. She bounced the dagger between her palms, throwing it from finger to finger.

“No, I see what’s happening.” Ace brandished Excalibur. “I’m about to slaughter you all… for taking my family!” He charged forward, slashing at the first Shadow. She jumped into the air and retreated a few hops,

“Move!” She ordered her platoon. They nodded simultaneously---which was extremely off-putting---and bolted forward.

Aver jumped out of the second-floor window and landed on his legs, hurting himself. However, he ignored the feelings and pushed forward. “Open the rift in space and release an object of my choosing; Iron Justice!” He shouted as he ran towards the nearest Shadow, pulling out a revolver from the Rift. The revolver was a glistening iron revolver with seven bullets, instead of six.

He brandished Iron Justice and fired towards the nearest Shadow. The Shadows weren’t familiar with guns, underestimating the revolver’s distance. They treated the weapon like a sword or any other melee weapon, instead, of a weapon of mass destruction.

The bullets pierce through one Shadow, killing him/her instantly. The genders of the Shadows were hard to tell, only discernible through their voices.

“I’ll take care of the close ones. Go for the main one!” Aver shouted. Ace heard him, nodding his head. He ran forward towards the main Shadow. She braced for impact, throwing her arms in front of her to protect against Ace’s Excalibur swing.

The attack threw her backward, nearly chopping cleanly through. Even so, she had enough strength to grab her dagger tightly in her right palm, slashing at Ace. The slashes cut through his clothes, tattering them.

Meanwhile, Kira watched as Aver jumped out of the window before deciding to not go that path. Instead, he turned around and found Scarlett---as she
