Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. I can feel the warm blood trickling down my face as I look around. I can tell I’ve been crying because my face was hot and sticky. Everything is a blur in my eyes, but from what I can tell I would say that I was in an old shed like house. As I lay there, wondering what happened, and where I am, I could make out a few objects in the stuffy room. There was a bed in the corner and a tray of food in the other. I knew the room isn’t one I’ve ever seen before. I can tell I’ve been crying because my face was hot and sticky. I can’t remember anything but me running frantically in an alley, but everything from there was a total blackout. Hurt and scared, I pull myself up feeling pain on mi back and hips and huddle into the corner, waiting for something to happen.
As I wait I see a faint light becoming wider in the distance. I wanted to crawl closer but I couldn’t see much and no telling what I can run into. A tall figured appeared by the light. I squinted my eyes, took a breath, and shouted “who’s there.” There was no answer but the figure got closer and closer, until I made out his narrow face with wide eyes pierced at me. He smiled at me in a weird sinful way, so I turned and stare at the ground. There was a cold chill I felt on my cheek and on my legs. He turned my head towards him, but I couldn’t fight, his grip was too strong. He moved his hands feeling my body, I tried again to get away but no use he kept a firm grip. Holding my tears back I say “Who are you and what do you want?” Still no answer, so I pull my body away faster with more force, but he pulls me toward him so fast and strong I let out a loud scream. His hand moves from my cheek and came to my mouth. I couldn’t say anything nor do anything, so I calm down and lean my head against the wall. He slowly moves his hand off my mouth and moves it down to his lap. I whisper “What do you want?” he gets up makes his way towards the door turns and before he closes the door he replied in a raspy voice, “You.”
“What do you want with me?” I screamed, but it was too late because the door was already closed and locked. I couldn’t hold back those tears anymore. They streamed down my face as fast as a rivers flow, but I knew that tears wouldn’t solve anything, and will show I feel weak and scared. I wipe the tears away with the back of my sleeve. I cuddled in the corner not wanting to eat or try to find the slightest clue of where I was. I laid my head on balled up covers that were laid on the bed on the other side of the room. Let out a small whimper and slowly closed my eyes. I didn’t want a deep sleep so I could be cautious, but I did want to know what that mysterious man wanted wit me, who he is, and will I ever get to see the smiles of my friends and family again.
I woke up to a bright light shining through this one small window to high for me to reach. I look over and clearly the man has been in here because the food that I have left yesterday was gone and there lay new food. I hesitated and reached for the food. Even though I was clueless of where I was I had to eat. 10 minutes later the last piece of the burnt bacon lay. I looked around and tried to find things that could help me get out, but to no avail, I was stuck. I did find an empty beer bottle lay under old clothes. I figured I can use it at the right moment to escape. I broke the bottle and sat in the corner where I last laid. I hid the broken bottle behind my back but I couldn’t find the tightest grip considering my hand was shaking from knowing I was going to hurt someone.
Almost a hour later he came in and closed the door slowly behind him. He had the same smile that he had the night before. I waited till he came close and kneeled down in front of me. He took his hands and touched me where I never had before. I gave him one more try to let me go. “Leave me alone,” I said in a sturdy voice. He avoided my warning and kept touching me and hurting me. Now my hand really was shaking because I took my hand and swung with all my might. It turned into that moment where I wish I haven’t done it, where I haven’t slit his neck, but that was what I had to do or else I would’ve been trapped, or worse, dead. I watched his body lay on the floor eyes wide open bleeding to his death. All there was to do was contact the police and leave. I let out a small sigh, turned slowly and left.
