Cries of impending doom rose from the black. Screams invaded the dark that was his consciousness. Crimson spatters invaded his mind. Violent shudders overcame him. A high-pitched laughter cut through the screams like a knife through water. Gun shots exploded in his ears. Black beings ran from him. He roared and began to chase them. Then the darkness closed over him once more.
It was daylight when he opened his eyes.
The sky was blue but gray was his color as he stood. Clutched in his hand was a knife. His head rang when he looked at it. Red covered it, as well as his hands. They were sticky; He rubbed them off on the grass. His head was empty. It always hurt when he woke up like this.
Green was his color. He bent over and retched. He wandered off, trying to remember how he had gotten there.
His world became blue when he saw a house down the road. He started to get nervous again. He saw a couple walking on the lawn.
Now red was his color as he walked towards them. And they were his, too.

Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you donโt realize the full power of fiction. So using our website in your free time discover fiction for yourself.
