Standing here… breathless. She’s alone, with a loaded 9mm pistol to my forehead. “Why… why are you doing this…?” I stare into her eyes looking for my answer; I can see great pain, but the reason is hidden well. She doesn’t say anything. She shoves the gun barrel further into my head.
“I hate you!” she screams, it echoes throughout the hallway; her hands are shaking; the gun shakes with her.
“You MURDERER
! You killed them!”
My mind goes blank. What?,I said in my mind, but before I could speak up she continued, “Don’t deny it,I know you did it. So what, nobody can prove it. I KNOW you did, I know, know...” Tears fall from her eyes, but the gun is steadier now. A tiny evil grin appears on her face.
“I will kill you now. And there is nothing you can do about!”….
Walking down the street to the coffee shop where I work for twelve bucks an hour, and for five days a week. It’s not a bad job. I mean, sure the boss is super young and super bratty, the other employees treat me like dirt, and the customers do likewise. But hey, I need the money. At least I never get tired from the varieties of different scents like, black tea, peppermint, and wild berries.
I walk in the door and the first thing said to me is, "Hey, STUPID, your three minutes late. That’s going to be taken off you pay this month, AGAIN!" I roll my eyes to the little boss suck-up, Roland. There are only six people working in the coffee shop, and not all at one time. There is Me, Roland Smith, and a much nicer gal named Savannah Tess. We mainly work as cashiers and supplie stockers. The main BOSS is Amanda Cook; a brat whos father owns the shop. However nobody sees her much; she spends more time shopping than anthing else.Roland likes to be her little dog; if she tells him to anything he'll do it. In return he tells her every little thing we (more like 'I') do wrong.
I walk past Roland “I don’t care.” I groan out. Where is Savannah when I need a break from Roland? I walk to the break room which has five, old, rusty locker for the employees. When I get to my locker to get my uniform, Roland is standing three feet away from me. “And that's another thing. You should have that cleaned every day. It wouldn’t be sanitary if you keep it in your locker all the time.” Your face is not sanitary, I though. I grin a little, which makes Roland more vexed. “Wipe that stupid smirk off your face, Blackside. Or I will make sure the boss docks your pay further.” He threatens. I turn to look at him. His blond hair always kept trimmed and cleaned everyday (I’m guessing); he looks like a girl, with the way he tries to style it. I’m way too grumpy to be dealing with this right now.
It was then a slight chill came into my ear, somewhat like someone was blowing in it. But Roland wasn’t standing close enough to be doing that. The chill is wind-like; I can hear words but can’t make then out. This only makes me angrier. Then Roland pesters, “Do you hear me!” He demands. I stare into his blue eye, with the most fearful look I can give; I feel as though I may bite his head off. He gives me a confused look; then he turns around to leave saying, "I’m telling the boss, you know." I don’t care; I said to myself, I win.
