Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you donโ€™t realize the full power of fiction. The Girl in The Forest

Her bloodied blade was no longer the gleaming silver it was once was. She would not give up her newfound freedom easily, they wouldn't let her just walk away. The things she knew could tear apart the status quo. She awoke from her trance-like state and immediately threw the scarlet blade to the ground, disgusted at what she had allowed to happen. Tears rolled down her muddied face as she fell to her knees. She didn't know how to feel, should she be happy she had finally escaped after her months of seemingly endless torture, or should she feel guilty for the dozens of bodies littering the ground around her or perhaps she should feel ashamed that she had allowed her dark power to take control.

The sound of snapping branches echoed from the surrounding forest. She would have to worry about what she had done later. Someone was approaching, and they were approaching fast. She reached down for the blade, struggling to see past a wall of tears and srtuggling to control her shaking hands. She could feel the adrenaline flowing through her vains. She tried to calm herself, but with little success. She knew that she had to do somthing whilst she still could, if she waited too long more would die at her hand.

She took a single slow, deep breath as the cold metal blade plunged into her cold flesh. This was the last breath she would take. The last breath she would take in this body at least.

Lost Memories and Broken Places

She didn't have time to examine her new form, they were still coming. She would have minutes, if she was lucky. She ripped the clothes from a nearby body, quickly adjusting to her new body as she did so. As she pulled the blade from her previous body it turned to ashes; she could feel a piece of herself fading away with it. As she turned to flea the scene, she was hit by a pain that overwhelmed her. The approaching men had arrived, and realised what was happening at the sight of the body fading to ashes. Her eyes changed from ocean blue to malevolent purple as the adrenaline in her body began to flow uncontrollably again. Her previously tortured expression changed, her mouth forming an menacing grin, her eyes were filled with a complete murderous focus.

And then she vanished. Before they knew what had happened the men had been ripped to countless blood-soaked pieces in a purple haze.

When she came back to her senses, she was no longer surrounded by forest. Instead, she found herself staring an alien wall, in a house she did not know.

As she sat up, examining her new body, she was hit by a smell she recognised that flood her sense of smell and began of overflow into her tastebuds. She thought back to before the torture, before the death. She remembered walking home after a day at work. She remembered the smell of omelette cooking in the kitchen for breakfast. But that was all gone.

All that remained now was memories, but even these had been broken by her rebirths. She was cursed. With each death, she died a little more.
