"BESTY! GO GET THE MAIL FOR THE HUNDRETH TIME!!!." dad bellowed.
"Why can't Molly get it?" my sister, Betsy, whines obnoxiously.
"Molly, would you be a dear and get the mail before your father explodes?" my mom called.
I walk outside and grab up the unusualy heavy pile of letters. Bil, bill, bill, another bill, bill, Betsy's cateloge, Charlie's sports magizine, a letter for me, bill, b-. I look back down at the pile and flip through it again. A letter for me? I rush back inside and hand the bills to my dad, the cateloge to Betsy, and the magizine to Charlie and I run upstairs to my room.
"Molly! No running in the house!" my mother yells, her voice barely carried up the stair corridor.
"Sorry!" but I don't even remember what she said. It was bound to be something I should say sorry to. I run through the hall and slam shut my door, almost crushing my fingers under the heavy door's weight. I jump on my bed and rip open the envolope. I unfold the letter, which is written is a blue. It said,
Dear Molly Montgomery,
You have been choosen to attend "Power School" and harness your powers.
Power School? Is that like some kind of private school? I read on, hoping it will answer any questions I have.
"Power School" is for children will powers. They are unique as are you. They will be chosen by the concil, so don't start thinking that you have the ability to fly or something stupid. Your supply list will be found at the bottom of this letter. We can't wait for you to begin to attend.
Sincerly,
Professor Abbott
Powers? What does that mean? I have no powers. I don't even have brian power. I got two Ds on my report card this year. Not even an A! How can i have powers? Oh well, Betsy probably just wants me to play with her. Let's see the supply list.

The other world? What does that mean? How will I get there? This letter didn't answer my questions, it made new ones! Wait there is more to the letter.
P.S.
To get there, go to the subway station and go to platform 8 1/18. The conductor will help you from there.
8 1/18? Well, I'm going to put a stop to this.
"Mom? Can you take me to the Subway Station?" I ask.
"What? Why?"
"I'm meeting a friend there. PLEASE!!!" I whine.
"Stope whining! Fine, fine, FINE!!!"
"Thanks, Mom." I say. I open the door and run out. The car isn't unlocked so I have to wait. My mom finaly comes out and fiddles with the keys and unlocks the doors. I hop in and click on my seatbelt. Mom's gets caught.
"Come on!!" I yell.
"SHUT UP MOLLY!!! WE'RE GOING OKAY?!" she finaly get it on and starts up the car. We get there and I tell her thanks and she drives off. Now to find platform 8 1/18. I walk all over the station and I can't find it. I walk to platform 8 and there is an engraving on the pillar. It says,
Run through this pillar while thinking of everything you'll miss.
Everything I'll miss? Well, they've got me there. I'll miss my friends and everything being normal and my mom waking me up. I run back to the other pillar and charge , full speed, towards the pillar. Friends, normality, mom, friends, normality, mom. I chant this in my head and suddenly, I'm there. There is a train at the station, not a subway car, and hundreds of kids. I find the car door and jump in. Wow! Its so much quieter than out there. Its all red carpet, red wallpaper, red everywhere! I open up a door and walk in. Its empty. I take a seat near the window and just watch. Suddenly, the door opens. A girl with long, dark brown hair walks in. SHe sits across from me and a little girl, about 9, walks in too. SHe has short, bouncy, brown curls and she sits next to the first girl. I assume they're sisters, since they have the same facial features. High, arched eyebrows, long eyelashes, and well kept hair might I add.
"Hi! I'm Carrie and this is my sister, Sophie," says the older girl, "What's your name?"
"Molly." I whisper, meekly.
"Cool! You're a new student aren't you?"
"Yeah."
"Me too!" they both say. They seem simular, almost twins, if it weren't for their age difference.
"What house do you want to be sorted into? I want to be sorted into the mind reading house." says Sophie.
"You're crazy!" Carrie yells, "I want to be sorted into the tecnopathic house. SO what about you?"
"I don't even know what you're talking about. What house?"
"Don't you know anything?" Carrie asks.
"At all?" ask Sophie.
"About what?"
The first Macht was considered a witch. She had a husband and a child, but they both were human. She was later burned at stake. The second Macht was Doggard Muctosh, a British milkman. He had the unusual ability to kept things cold, or freeze vison. His children were all human except a boy, Friar, and a girl, Macilla. Friar had the ability to run extremly fast. Macilla had the ability to have anyone fall instantly madly in love with her at her command. Both destroyed their village, for they had no idea how to control their powers. They both had five children each, yet instead of being human, they were Macht too. Most had the ability to play any musical piece with a flick of their hand. All except one girl, Mandy, who could control minds. Unlike her mother, she could make anyone feel ANY emotion instantly. Mandy created the first "Power School," but, unlike the one we're going to, it was destroyed for the children had very dangerous powers and nobody could control the students or their own powers. Mandy was killed during the destruction. She had no children. Many other Machts were found and recorded, but only one realy effects us. His name is Professor Brocklehurst. Professor understood the Mecht and he understood how to help us. He created the most recent "Power School" for us.
"What?! So you're saying I'm not normal, is that it?" I yell at her. How could she say that?! I just met her!
"No, just you're not a Menschlich." Sophie states.
"A what?"
"A Menschlich. That's what we call humans. You know, the people without powers." Carrie says, "Have you read Harry Potter?"
"Yeah, why?"
"A Menschlich is like a Muggle." Sophie answers, smartly.
"Ok, so a Mecht is like a wizard." I said.
"Yeah." Suddenly, the door slides open and a girl with curly, long blonde hair and glasses rushes in.
"Can I sit here?" she asks.
"Yeah sure. Whats your name?" Carrie asks.
"I'm Emily."
"No way! Emily! Emily Tallaksen?! You're like my hero!!!" Carrie's eyes boggled.
"Yes, yes, yes. All that, yes. No photographs, please." EMily flaunts a very expensive-looking ring at Sophie. Sophie makes a grab at it and makes Emily fall into the seat next to me.
"Do you have the-" Sophie points to her own forehead.
"Oh, yeah. I have it." Emily pushes back her bangs and shows us a scar in the shape of a butterfly, colors and all.
"WOW!!!! Even better then in the book!!!" Sophie can't take her eyes off of the scar. Apparently, this made Emily feel uncomterble. She flatened down her hair.
"Hold on, hold on. Am I missing something? How did you get that scar and why do they know your name?" I asked. This did seem strange, a 12 year old girl has a scar. Well, it looked like a scar. You can never tell though. Makeup these days makes things soo realistic.
"This a real scar, Molly. I got it when I was a baby."
"Oh. Wait, how did you know my name? How did you know I was thinking about your scar?" What in the world? How did she do that? Maybe she is just used to peopel questioning the realness of her scar.
"I can read minds, you idiot!"
"WHAT?!?!?!"
