Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. Book online «The Sory of the Fourth Magi by Jonathan Klemens (novels for students TXT) 📖». Author Jonathan Klemens

There is an ancient little known story of a fourth Magi who appeared at our Lord’s birth on Epiphany. This mythical story of an additional wise man has provided much material for numerous cartoons, jokes, and gastronomic debate.

It is said that this Magi ruled a fabled kingdom well known for its fine bread and baked goods. He had seen the magnificent star and desired to present a suitable gift to the new born King. He joyfully joined Casper, Melchior, and Balthasar on the caravan traveling west following the star.

After arriving in Bethlehem, the Magi presented their gifts. The fourth Magi advanced and meekly offered the infant Jesus his gift - an impressive round fruitcake like no other – full of fine plump raisins, delicious candied fruit, select spices, and various choice nuts. Humbly, our Lord did not accept this splendid gift, but never-the-less blessed it with the words, “May this fruitcake be fruitful (no pun intended) and multiply that all nations share this delicious gift.” With Divine Wisdom, the infant Jesus generously regifted the cake to an unsuspecting; however, very hungry, shepherd.

From that day forward, following our Lord’s example, fruitcakes have been passed on, and on, largely uneaten, from person to person with goodwill and great holiday cheer.
