It’s the fourth quarter with the Patriots down by two in Super bowl XXXVIII with fifteen seconds left and the Patriots have the ball on the Carolina Panthers thirty-seven yard line. It’s a key fourth and ten and Patriots special teams come on the field to try to get a game winning Field goal. Brian gets nervous heading onto the field. He’s nervous to throw a bad snap and cost them the game. That would haunt him forever. In the huddle the kicker Adam Vetetari And the holder Austin Walter are trying to calm each other down including Brian. They all say a quick prayer. “Dear Lord what ever happens on this play please let us be the good and kid people we have always been”. Amen. As they head to the line of scrimmage the crowd gets on there feet yelling and screaming. But once Brian feels the laces of the ball suddenly all his nerves go away. The crowd is now dead silent as the holder gives the signal to snap the ball. A good snap by Brian a little low but Austin got it and handled pretty well. But now it was all up to Adam Vetetari the veteran that’s been on the team for three years. He comes in with his right leg and it’s a powerful kick but is it accurate? NO! Vetetari missed kicking it to the right of the uprights. The Carolina panthers win there first Super Bowl in thirteen years. What a game! But also a very tragic way to end the season for the Patriots. They came all this way and have won there last fifteen games in a row to lose in the most important game of the year.
