Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. Jessica watched as he parents faces turned red hot with anger.
After two weeks of lying out of nerves, she had finally stood up and told them she was engaged to Thomas.
She always knew that they had never liked him; to them he was just some kid with a reputation for getting into all sorts of trouble with the police. But she lover him, and to her none of the other things mattered.
It was a romantic proposal as well, he had taken her to the park, the same place that they had met, and even set up a little picnic.
That probably didn’t matter to her parents, they wanted her to marry a man of their choice, but they all knew that would not happen in a million years. First of all, the only people that her parents talked to were twice Jessica’s age; secondly she would certainly refuse to marry anyone that she did not love.
“What have we done wrong?” her mother whispered “did we bring you up wrong, make you feel neglected in anyway? Because if we did, we are sorry.”
“You didn’t do anything wrong” she rushed “I want to get married to him!”
“Then why are you punishing is?” he father roared “spoiling our good family name.”
“I’m not punishing you, I’m in love” Jessica cried.
There was silence for a moment, but was soon filled with her mothers sobbing.
Jessica wished she hadn’t had told them, they should have went to Vegas to get married, just as Thomas has suggested. At least that way Jessica wouldn’t have had to deal with her parents, they couldn’t affect her if she had already been married. But she knew now that they would try to convince her that it is the wrong thing to do, give her cold feet.
“You’re too young to marry” her father decided “at twenty you should be enjoying life, not trying to settle down. What if it doesn’t work, will you stay in a failed marriage.”
“It wont be a failed marriage” she told him confidently “we love each other way to much to keep anything like that destroy our relationship.”
Her parents stared at her in complete shock, she had never spoke so fiercely to them in here entire life.
“Just give him a chance” she whispered softly to the, “you might even start to like him.”
With that, she walked swiftly away, tears falling down her pale cheeks.

Jessica sat on her bed in her small one bedroom flat apartment, feeling like she had just been hit like a car.
Out of all the people that could have been excited about her wedding, she had only wanted her parents to be. But any chance of that was now completely gone down the drain.
Just then her bedroom door opened with a bang, and strode in Thomas, with a big grin on his scarred face.
“Why so cheerful?” she sighed, as he kissed her on the forehead.
“I knew you parents were going to react wildly to the proposal” he told her “but I never knew that it would be in such a good way!”
“What are you talking about” she asked, fear feeling her voice.
“Did they not tell you?” he asked her, sitting next to her on the small bed that was crammed into the corner of the bedroom “they are going to pay for the wedding Jessica, and buy us a house.”
Tears formed into Jessica’s eyes, she could have the dress she always dreamed of. And best of all, she was going to have her father to walk her down the isle like in her dreams.
