I ran through the forest with tears in my eyes,my mother had been enhanced since before I was born,and had slowly transformed into a tree,as all enhanced do,but today,she had finished,she was one with the forest now,and I had no one left,no one except the forest that I had always adored,finally,I just collapsed.
"why are you crying girl?" came one of the voices of the forest,the one that spoke softly almost as if it was shy.
"m-my mommy,she left,she left me alone" my 8 year old voice cried as salty tears spilled from my light green eyes and I brushed dark blonde hair away from my face
"no,she is here with us" came the other voice,the cruel one.
"b-but why!!" I yelled.
"you want to understand,correct?" they both said at once as I furiously nodded "then you will" and suddenly,there was nothing but black,and when I woke up,my long hair was silver like the shattered moon in the night sky above me.I'm Kodan and now,I'm enhanced.

~about four years later~

I raced so quickly through the forest that I was a blur,the druids were banging their staffs on the ground,one of the kids from Neutral city must have done something that annoyed the forest,again.Since the day I was enhanced I had kept to the forest,leaving behind my aunt Yolda,I wonder how she's been doing,as my engineer boots hit the forest floor over and over again,I decided that I would go visit her and the other villagers,but not now,for now I will only watch.I stayed behind the normal druids that were all staring at a boy and a girl in the water.The boy had shaggy black hair with white streaks and light brown eyes.The girl had bright red hair in pigtails and darker brown eyes.The two looked quite scared,I felt bad for them,they were just getting water,though I didnt understand why they didnt just carry buckets like everyone else.
I watched as the female druids scolded them,then down came and Yolda and some village men with guns,who also scolded the two,the kids appeared my age.Once they were about to leave I stepped out from the shadows "hey!" I yelled.
Yolda snapped her head towards me,she hadnt changed much,but over four years I had grown quite abit,my hair turned silver and lengthened,and my skin tanned,but she still recognised me right away I'm assuming,because her eyes widened in shock and delight."Kodan!where have you been!?"
I pointed to the forest as I walked up to her and grabbed her hand "lets go back now" and thats what we did,we walked to Neutral city,I had learned all the tricks that the druids knew and I had bonded with the forest itself.I knew so much,but I still didnt understand the importance of it.Maybe living with other humans would teach me.
