Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. Chapter 1

As I watched the rain strike the dark asphalt, I became aware of the things happening around me. I could feel the overturned car crushing my legs, I could smell the smoke coming from the raging fire, I could see the blood pooling under me, and I could hear the screams coming from the bystanders, whose number was seeming to grow by the second. Suddenly, I felt an explosion lift the car and me off the road, throwing me into one of the nearby buildings. Before I could hit the ground, I felt two strong arms grab my armpits and slowly rest me on the ground. "Don't worry James, you'll be fine." As I looked towards the speaker, my brain started thinking seemingly random facts about the speaker: caucasian, 260 pounds, five and a half feet, married. When I saw the speaker, I was surprised to find that I was almost completely correct by what I thought. The man smiled and looked down at me. He had kind eyes, shaggy brown hair, and what looked like a long scar, zig zagging across his face. The man looked somewhat familiar, though since the light was fading I could not get a good look at him. Suddenly, I heard sirens in the distance. The man looked up, stared out at where the sirens were coming from, looked back down at me and smiled. He then got up and ran off. I turned my head to try and see where he went, but as soon as I moved my head, darkness flooded my vision, and I knew I was either dying or slipping into unconsciousness.
