Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. He had told me to leave in an inhuman. Daddy punched the wall, yelling my name, as if he wished it were my body his fist had made the contact with. He was ashamed of me, and all that I could not accomplish. Tears rolled down my face as I ran out my front door and down the porch steps to escape the evil that lies inside. This was it. The last time I would ever lay eyes on what I’d called my home for sixteen years. I didn’t dare look back for a better view; I had seen enough.

She was a pretty girl. Her mahogany hair flowed down her back to just reach her waist, and her bright amber eyes made the August harvest moon jealous. Her sweet smile caught every boy’s attention and her contagious laugh stole his hearts. Maybe it was her beauty, or her freckled mask of happiness that she wore so well, but either way, no one saw the pain. No one saw the cuts either. No one ever saw the telltale signature of a razor blade that she hid with long sleeves and giggles. She couldn’t let them see it. She was perfect.

There he lay, the only man who had ever truly given a damn about me. White sheets, tubes, and the beeping of monitors swallowed him. At first the doctors said he was going to make it; they said the burns were bad, but he had a good shot. They said that before the infection came. So now, I sit here holding his hand, waiting for an angel to either save him, or take him away. It is just so hard seeing such a strong individual helpless and hurting. I love my daddy; I can’t stand to see him like this.
