Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. chapter 1

I'm so bored....

I looked at my calender hanging on the wall. The month was April and the 12th of the month on a Friday. One week to go...

On the 22nd on a Monday there was a red star; my 16th birthday and the day I'll be sacrifice to save my people and blah blah.
'It's a great honor to be chosen' said the elders. 'And you had a good life' said my parents.

If it's so great why don't the elders offer themselves? Yes, I had a good life living in a fancy rich house and have everything I asked for and do whatever I wanted to do; living like a queen then a princess. But I want to leave longer. Am I being greedy? I want to die yet! I want to wake up everyday and feel the sunlight on my face. To be normal and scrape my knee and be allow to go outside without a muscle headed jerk following around saying we should go back inside. All my life I was never allowed to be harm; so I rarely was allow to go outside. I had no social life expect for my parents and three bothers coming to see me once a month; sometimes they don't come at all. I guess it would be better to act like I wasn't here since I'll die anyways and it'll save everyone some trouble of sadness. I could talk to the maid but she just ignores me like my body guard does. I did have a nanny until I was six years old. The doctor does come with elders to check up me twice a month to be sure I'm healthy.

I'm so lonely...

Yes, I pity myself and I know everyone pities me as well. I would tell you my name but I don't have one you see. What's the point? I'll be dead soon anyways say others around me behind my back.

So call me whatever name you want. Why don't I name myself? Well I simply just seem wrong. I mean am I so sad that I have to name myself? You could call me Lady or Miss like everyone does.

I rolled off my round shape bed and fell to the floor. I then crawled to my door way. I peeked out a bit and my body guard, Muscle (I call him), is sitting by the door in his wooden chair crossing his arms sitting up straight. Like always wearing a black suit with a shining bold head and sunglasses. seriously who wears sunglasses in the winter?

He leers down at me and I gave him a friendly smile; flashing my teeth. He grunts and looks away.Well fuck you too.

I closed the door.

I then got up and walked over to my window. I looked out at the forest. My house, my jail, is somewhere deep in a forest. I don't know what state I'm in. I never left the house; the gates, once in my whole life. I just been here. Done all my shopping online and schooling online as well. I didn't have to do school but I just wanted to. I wanted to feel a little normal. Plus, I don't want to be a mindless idiot all my life that didn't know how to read or write.

I walk over to my full length mirror and looked at myself. Like always, I had bed head and was wearing one of my sweat pants and t-shirt that had some crazy saying on it or picture. Today I had on my 'I rule' shirt with a ruler saying 'I rule'. I patted my messy long blue curly hair down and wipe the dried up slop from mouth corner. Yes, I have blue hair and no didn't dye it; born with it. It had something to do with being the chosen one and blah blah. I had tan skin even though I hardly leave the house. I believe I got the my skin color from my dad; he's mixed with something. I walk over to my chest and open my top drawer took out a pocket-knife from it. I stole it from Muscle when he wasn't looking; I'm not allow to have sharp objects, not even scissors! I went back over to my mirror and started chopping off my blue hair. My hair got too long for me to handle again and it's so annoying. It's so curly and wild!

I stop chopping once my hair is to my ear. I put the knife back where got it.

Before I left my room I put a fishing hat on and out the door I went.

chapter 2

Muscle follows me at my heels as I make my way to the dinner room. There waiting for me is a buffet of food. My mouth starts to water and I grab a plate and pick up one of everything. I'm not being a pig. All my life up till now I had to eat rabbit food because it was healthier for me, but since I'm a week from death I can eat whatever. I remember the first time I had cake; last week on Monday.

I take my food to the game room and turn on the flat screen wall tv and sit down at the coach. Muscles sits in a arm chair on the far side of the room. I chow down and watch spongebob for an hour. I was just about to get up when the maid came busting in.

"Miss, we need to get you repaired," Said the maid in deep french accent.
I stared at her confused. "For what?"
Elders or my parents weren't coming till Saturday of next week.

"For your sacrifice; it's tonight," said the maid.

My heart sunk and I swallow hard. It's tonight.

I guess the reaper did had a surprise for me after all.
