A-ya is a Cherokee legend assoicated with Kalona. The Cherokee believe that thousands of years ago, Kalona was believed to be a Fallen Angel. For many years Kalona made peace with the Cherokee. But soon he started raping the women of the tribe. The " witches" of the tribe grew tired of the raping. They devised a plan to demolish Kalona. They created A-Ya, or translated, "me". They named her this because they created her from their images. A-Ya was made from clay. A-ya was sitting on the edge of a river combing her long, beautiful hair when Kalona found her. She saw him and ran. Kalona followed her into a cave where he caught her. Has soon as he touched her, the cave was sealed, trapping him in forever. A-Ya immedently returned to clay. It is said that when "the earth bleeds" that Kalona will return and reek havoc on the world. The women he raped bore children known as Raven Mockers. The are half man, half raven. These Raven Mockers are a gentle reminder of the great legend of A-Ya and Kalona.

Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you donโt realize the full power of fiction. So using our website in your free time discover fiction for yourself.
