Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. "SOOO.... Whatcha doin?" Kalie asked Rim. "Nothing you need to know. Now go away and stay away." Rim ordered firmly and tiredly. He had been trying to get Kalie to stay away from him and his ... jobs(?) for over a month now. She just kept comeing back! He didn't know what to do. Rim sighed. "Why are you called Rim?" Kalie asked not listening to his order. "Because thats my name... Now please go away!" Rim nearly raised his voice at her. I will not raise my voice, I will not raise my voice..., he continused to think that over and over in his head while Kalie continued,"Well why did you get named Rim? Its such an odd name. I would have demanded that I be named something different. I..." Rim couldn't take it anymore! For three long years he has been stuck in this cursed land THREE LONG YEARS!Well three years his time... wich is about ten years in the time of this cursed place. Rim sighed and shouted,"LOOK GIRL! I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO PLAY YOUR SILLY LITTLE GAMES OK? YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT! I HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK!" Kalie suddednly get tears in her eyes. OH COME ON!!!, Rim thought to himself, Why me!? Huh? WHY ME!? "But all you are doing in drawing curcles in the sand, and then sighing and redrawing them when the wind blows and erases them." Kalie said on the verge of crying. Rim couldn't take this anymore then he could take her annoying questions! Was I like this? He asked himself. Rim sighed again. He didn't like to see children cry... he didn't like to see anyone cry. "Look. I'm sorry ok? Now will you please go away?" He asked her. Tears ran down her face as she shook her head. "N-n-n-no. I'm n-n-n-not going t-t-to g-go aw-w-way." Kalie answered fighting back her tears. Rim sighed, knowing that he lost and that she had won... "Fine I will tell you why i'm called Rim and what i'm doing, if you promise to go away and not disturb me. Ok? Do we have a deal?" He asked. "Deal!" Kalie responded! He knew that she would probably not listen to or follow the deal... but at least she wasn't crying now. "Ok. Sit down it is a long story." Rim said. Kalie sat down with an eager face on. "Alright so wheree to begin?" Rim though aloud. "Why not with the begining?" Kalie asked raising an eyebrow. ".... O..k.... That will work." Rim said looking at Kalie. Whats with the odd look on his face?, Kalie wondered, Its as if hes seeing something... but not like when someone spaces out or when they tell a story like what he is going to tell... "I do not come from here. I come from a completely different world..." Rim paused seeing if she was going to inturuped. She didn't. Rim continued,"I'm an ... adventurer..." Rim tried to think of the right word... adventurer didn't sound quite right... "... and the world that I come from ... well it doesn't have all this fancy stuff like cars or computers or... stuff like that..." Thats odd I could have sworn that I just saw a flash of light... Rim though. "... and there is lots of killing ... and dieing in my world..." Kalie cut him off, "And you want to go back!?" "Yes I do at least in my world all the killing is out in the open and not so secretive as in your cursed world!" Rim snaped at her. "We don't have any killing here!" Kalie exclaimed. "Yes you do... animals kill each other and humans. People kill each other and animals. Where do you think steak or lobster come from? Lobster comes from... well... lobsters and beef steak comes from cows and pork from pigs and so on..." Rim pointed out. "Oh... EWWW!" Kalie exclaimed again. Rim just smiled. "So as I was saying. About ten years ago, your time. I was on an ... adventur ... and the one I was ... adventuring ..... for was a mage... lets just say he didn't like me very much and when he died" "HE DIED! HOW!?" Kalie cut him off again. "YES HE DIED NOW SHUT UP OR I WILL NOT CONTINUE WITH THE STORY!" Rim yelled at her. Kalie quieted down. "Thank you! So as I was saying. When he died he casted a spell that brought me here... So thats how I got here... Now go away." Rim said. "But you never told me why you are called Rim." Kalie said looking at him expectantly. "Oh yeah... right... umm ok... so when I tell you you will go away... right?" Rim asked with a raised eyebrow. "YES!" Kalie said instently. "Ok. I am called Rim because... well... because. Ummm... hmmm... how do I make it to where you will understand?" "Just spit it out!" Kalie said cutting him off again. Rim looked at Kalie as if to ask, Are you done? Kalie blushed and looked down saying, "Yes go ahead now." "Ok. I am called Rim because I am always on... or at the rim... I ..." *sigh* "... oh!!! you would have to know me to understand!" Rim blurted out. "Well... Tell me about you so that I will know you." Kalie said looking at Rim. "Is Rim your real name?" She asked. "Yes." Rim replied. "Ok then. That is why your are called Rim... because thats your real name. "Kaile said smilling as if she figered out a hard riddle. Rim just frowned. "How come you have silver eyes and black hair?" Kalie asked. "Oh no." Rim said waving his hands at her, "I already told you what you needed to know. Now go away..." Alright thats it... Thats the third time that I saw the flash of light..., Rim thought. Next thing he knew he was blinded by white searing hot light. The light burned him... his skin and everything. It felt like when he got banished to this cursed world.

When he awoke it was to find himslef in a cave. He sat up and looked around. Where am I? He asked himself. How did I get here? Next thing he knew, he was being pulled up threw the air by something big... too big. Giant!? He thought. No this is too high even for a giant. He looked up and saw two golden eyes stareing at him. "Hi...?" He asked. Suddenly loud laughter filled the cave. "Hi? Is that all you can think about saying puny human?" The great beast rumbled. "Uh... no?" Rim asked. "You need to think of better questions to ask a dragon." The ... oh thats what it is! Rim thought... a dragon. He smiled only to remember that a dragon is not a good thing. "Oh. Yes I guess I do... hmmm. How about this? Can you please let me down and tell me where the exit is?" Rim asked. "Yes I suppose I could... but what about you little friend here? Hmmm?" The dragon asked swinging Rim over to the side until Rim saw what the dragon called "his little friend". It was Kalie. She was unconsus. Rim wanted to say, No! Shes not my freind!, but he couldn't... and he knew it too. "Ummm... yeah i'll takes her too." Rim said pointing at Kalie. He didn't sound to thrilled about being stuck with her though. "What makes you think that I don't want to keep her?" The dragon asked. Rim laughed aloud,"Trust me! You don't want to keep her! I don't either but I would much rather face her then the wrath of an angery dragon because the dragon got annoyed with her." The dragon just looked at Rim oddly. "Ok. That sounds fare." It said setting Rim down next to Kalie. "So... Where is the exit?" Rim asked looking up at the dragon. The dragon pointed behind Rim and said, "there is a tunnel that leads out into the woods over there." Rim turned around and looked in the direction that the dragon was pointing. "Right. Ok then we will be off and out of your hands er claws in no time." Rim said turning back to Kalie. Kalie was still unconsus and didn't look like she would wake up in a while. Rim sighed and picked her up. Once he had her secure he set off in the direction of the tunnel. "Thank you!" Rim said over his shoulder. He heard a muffled rumble as the dragon walked away. "Well here we go." He said to himself as he looked down the long tunnel. He set off at a relaxed pace with Kalie still in his arms.
