the bridge. I grabbed her hand and held her tight. She put one foot at a time over the railing. I breathed a sigh of relief. She stood up. I went over the railing too. Once I was no where near the edge my breathing returned to be regular.
“I can’t go on wonder if this will be the day. The last goodbye. I cant keep wondering this!” She said to me. I know where she was coming from. It would drive me crazy if I had to wonder this. “Tell me now if this is it. Tell me if this is our last goodbye!” She demanded. I didn’t reply. She turned her back to me. “I can’t see you walk away. I’m turned around. If you are going to walk out on me then leave now.” She said but I didn’t move. “If this is our last goodbye then go now. If you have given up on me and don’t love me anymore then leave.” She said. She tried to make it sound as if she was not crying but there was no hiding it. She turned around and saw I was still there.
“There is no such thing as a last goodbye.” I told her and she jumped into my arms.
“I love you, I love you! I promise I will never hurt you again!” She kept repeating. “I know.” I told her. We stared into each others eyes and I knew that I could never let her go. You only find TRUE love once. We decided to raise the baby as if it was mine. I purpose not long after. We plan on staying together forever because there is no Last Goodbye when it comes to Melinda and I. <3
