Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. out an order and the wolves all disappeared into the forest, probably to make sure Ashton was gone. Mom and Dad crushed me to their chests. “It’s okay Nessie, Momma’s here,” Mom whispered as she stroked my hair and kissed my forehead. Dad just squeezed me tight. “I’m sorry,” I whispered breathlessly. Mom looked down and grinned a teary-eyed grin and said “What are you apologizing for?” I tried to smile back but my eyes pricked and my breathing was off. “Your right Jacob,” Dad mumbled and looked down at me. “What?” I whispered confused. “Bella love, why don’t we leave Jacob and Renesmee alone?” Dad whispered to Mom. Mom started to protest but Dad looked over at me. Mom followed, staring at me for a few seconds and then she slowly nodded. “We’ll see you at home Renesmee,” Mom whispered and took Dad’s hand. Mom and Dad darted to the others and explained in hushed whispers about leaving Jake and I to be alone. Dad looked at Jacob and after a few seconds of silence and said “Very well, we’ll see you there then,” threw me a worried look and then darted into the woods alone with everyone else. All was silent as I stared at the forest that could’ve been my grave. Jacob brushed my side with his head and took my attention. Tears welled in my eyes as I looked at Jacob and thought of how I almost would’ve never seen his beautiful face again. I got up with wobbly legs and threw myself at Jacob, sobbing as I hit him. Jacob purred in my ear, telling me it was okay and it was, because he was here. “Jacob,” I sobbed rubbing my face into his fur and clutching him closer. Jacob whinnied lowly as he heard what I was thinking and saw what could’ve happened. Jacob nudged me and made me look up. He looked at me and then anxiously at the forest. Oh, he wanted to phase. “Hurry back,” I whispered, releasing my hold on his enormous torso. Jacob darted into the woods as I tried to collect myself, it was hard enough for everyone, and I shouldn’t make it worse. I was still alive. As the fear faded, relief and joy overpowered everything else. I was alive! I had taken every day with Jacob and Mom, Dad, Grandpa Charlie, and everyone for granted. I’d always loved hard but after today, I would love even harder. I would appreciate every single breath I took, every kiss I received, every moment of life. I stared at the sky and thanked my lucky stars that I could still see the semi-gray clouds rolling in. I heard the sound of Jacob rushing to me and jumped up in time to see Jacob’s arms ready to snatch me up. Jacob crushed me to him and said nothing. He stroked my hair and squeezed my waist so hard it was hard to breathe and yet I wanted him to hold me tighter. I stroked his hair and kissed his cheek and whispered “I’m sorry,” into his ear. Jacob’s body which had been shaking lightly shook even harder. It felt like he was going to explode. “Shh Jake, shh, it’s okay, I’m fine, were fine,” I whispered as I felt tears falling on to my shoulder. I pulled Jacob onto the ground with me and laid his head in my lap. Jacob stared up at me, as if he had lost me. I kept my hand on his face, thinking of how I was okay and that I was here and I loved him. The sky was now a dark gray, a storm was coming. I leaned against the school building and stroked Jacob’s hair but after a while, my eyes drooped and I thought “I’ll close my eyes for just a second
” I was aware of warm arms constricting around me and the movement of Jacob’s chest moving in and out. I groggily opened my eyes and realized I was home, in my room. “What time is it?” I whispered, stifling a yawn. Jacob leaned down and kissed my forehead. “Don’t worry about it, just go back to sleep Nessie,” Jacob whispered. I snuggled closer to Jacob and said “As long as you’re here.” “Always,” Jacob whispered as I started to drift off. “I love you,” I whispered, though I wasn’t quite sure if he could understand it. Jacob chuckled, so I guess he understood but he said nothing and just pulled me closer and let me fall asleep on his chest.
I lay on the floor gasping for air, my heart was racing much too fast with the smell of my blood in the air. Ashton stood above me smiling that same cruel smile he had before. Blood dripped from his pointed fangs as he watched my life spill from my neck. There was so much pain, it felt like I was being roasted alive and sliced to pieces with a dull knife. The blood pouring from my neck ran out like water from a faucet, I felt it pooling around my scalp and soaking my shirt. Time was running out and there was nothing I could do but wait to die. As the venom licked through my veins, I thought of Jacob and my family. Jacob kissing me, Jacob adoring me, Jacob loving me
so much love and it wasn’t enough to bring me back to him. My insides were burning but my body was cold, it wasn’t long now. I brought up a memory of each of my family, remembering how much they loved me and how much they would miss me. I felt my useless tears pooling on either side of my face as my life slipped away with the sun. My heart was now thumping too fast, it really wasn’t long now. I closed my eyes, tired of looking at Ashton’s red eyes smiling mockingly at me and just thought of how much I loved Jacob and how I would miss him so much. “Renesmee, Renesmee, wake up!” I heard Jacob whisper and suddenly felt my body shake. It was too late; I knew it then because my eyes wouldn’t open. “Renesmee, it’s okay, don’t cry, I’m here,” Jacob whispered urgently. My eyes fluttered open as I heard a new sound. I looked around and saw that it was light now, maybe around two ‘oh clock. My hands gripped Jacob’s shirt so tight, I thought it would rip. The sound that had awaked me was my loud sobbing. I took in the room, Jacob holding me and realized it was all a dream. “Jacob!” I sobbed and flung my arms around Jacob’s neck. Jacob patted my back and stroked my hair and comforted me. After I calmed down, Jacob asked me what was wrong. “I just had a really bad dream,” I whispered, trying to keep the shaking out. “Show me,” Jacob urged gently. I swallowed hard and slowly raised my hand to Jacob’s face. Jacob watched in silence as my breathing started to pick up again as I relived the nightmare. “Shh, it’s okay Nessie, that’s never going to happen, shh,” Jacob whispered as he pulled me closer. I nodded numbly and tried to control my breathing. Jacob would never let that happen to me and I knew that but
it could’ve happened
so easily. After I woke up again Jacob urged me to go down and eat. We walked down stairs hand in hand and stopped when Luna appeared at the bottom of the stair case. Jacob quickly pushed me behind him and rushed to Luna’s face. “Don’t you understand a fucking thing? She needs time!” Jacob hissed at Luna. Luna flinched and quietly said “I know I know it’s just
I needed to see that she was okay...” Jacob sighed and mumbled “I don’t know Luna, maybe you shouldn’t be here
” and motioned for the door. Luna sighed but started to turn. “Wait,” I called out. Luna and Jacob froze. I walked down to Jacob and took his hand in mine. “Luna, this wasn’t your fault, everything that happened
happened but I don’t hate you, you know that right?” I asked and placed my hand on her shoulder. Luna turned to face me with a devastated expression. “Luna, don’t cry, it’s not your fault,” I whispered and cupped her cheek. Luna gasped like she was trying not to sob and looked at me with sad eyes. “But it was my brother who tried to kill you, it was my brother I ended up protecting, and I’m so sorry Renesmee.” I forced a smile and said “Nothing happened to me, I’m still alive and Luna he’s family, so don’t beat yourself up for something you had no control over okay?” Luna slowly nodded and dabbed her eye like there had been a tear. “Still friends?” Luna asked with a half hopeful grin. I pulled her into me and squeezed her tight with one arm. “Of course Luna, of course,” I whispered into her hair as she sobbed tearless sobs. Luna needed me so I sent Jacob to go get some groceries from the store so I could make dinner for the pack and Grandpa Charlie. Luna kept apologizing and I kept telling her that I was gonna smack her if she apologized again and finally I did. Luna was sitting next to me in the love seat and opened her mouth to say sorry for the billionth time when my hand flew out and smacked her. I didn’t smack her hard and it wouldn’t have hurt either way but she was shocked. She froze with a shocked expression probably thinking “Why did she just smack me and why is she smiling?” I was smiling because she needed to realize that I was serious. “Sorry Luna,” I said and pulled her into my arms. “It’s not your fault
now stop or ill do it again,” I whispered, trying not to laugh. Luna busted out laughing and I joined in. Luna kissed my hair and said “I’m sorry but not for before, for being such a mope.” I hugged her tight and said “it’s okay.” Later when Jacob came back, I had to make two batches of spaghetti and meat balls, one for the pack and grandpa Charlie and one just for Jacob. Jacob swallowed it down without seeming to take a breath; I must’ve really worried him. Luna left before Mom and Dad got home, she thought they still might need sometime, even though I tried to tell her that it was okay for her to stay. Mom and Dad came home just as Jacob and I were on our way out the door with the food. “How do you feel Renesmee?” Dad asked lightly, taking a seat. I wrapped myself in Jacob’s arm and laid my head on his chest. “Just fine,” I said and looked up with a smile when Jacob kissed my hair. Dad nodded but frowned at our affection. Mom grinned and winked at me; we both were on the same track. I laughed out loud and pulled Jacob to the door and said “Get used to it Dad,” and heard Dad chuckle as I closed the door. “Do you wanna run?” I asked Jacob. Jacob thought for a moment and finally said “Nah, you look tired, let’s just drive, well, I’ll drive,” and winked at me. I smiled and took the container of food out of Jacob’s hand and walked over to the garage and opened it. Jacob opened my door for me and then got in and then the house disappeared. It was pleasantly quite on the way to La Push, our hands intertwined, thinking of nothing really, well I wasn’t. “I won’t let anything ever happen to you again,” Jacob said out of the blue. “What?” I asked totally confused and turned to Jacob. Jacob stared ahead and for a moment said nothing. Finally he spoke. “The other day
when
.when he,” Jacob stopped
