Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you donā€™t realize the full power of fiction. assignmentā€¦I was having some doubtsā€¦ā€ I said flipping through the pages of the book. ā€œI will help youā€¦ā€he said. ā€œUm...Whatā€¦?ā€ ā€œI will help you with the problemsā€¦ā€he said. ā€œOkayā€¦ā€I nodded.

Mr. Wilson yelled at a girl who was caught playing with her hair so the whole class went off by his yelling at her and lecturing us about how important mathematics is in our lifeā€¦ ā€œHow did you manage a whole semester without going madā€¦?ā€ Aaron asked fiddling with the pen. ā€œWelcome to the maniac clubā€¦ā€ I smirked. He grinned. God! How cute can he be? His smile grew wide as if he knew what I was thinking.

ā€œHeyā€¦Roseā€¦ā€ Aaron ran after me. ā€œWhere do we goā€¦?ā€ I frowned. ā€œMathā€™sā€¦assignmentā€¦ā€ He said eying the books in my hand. ā€œOh!ā€ I was thinking hard to say something when a car honked bringing me out of my thoughts. ā€œGet inā€¦ā€ he said opening the passenger door. ā€œUmā€¦ā€

ā€œGet inā€¦Iā€™ll drive you homeā€¦We can finish that work off for today than weā€™ll have the whole weekend freeā€¦ā€he said pulling me inside. He was not even giving me time to talkā€¦he sped up through the roads and I was at my home in few secondsā€¦ ā€œYou drive like a maniacā€¦ā€ I said smiling. He grinned. I had no choice but to invite him in.
ā€œDonā€™t you feel bad about being all alone in this houseā€¦?ā€ Aaron said eying the houseā€¦ā€ Hey...how do you knowā€¦ wait are you stalking meā€¦?ā€ I asked him smilingā€¦ ā€œYesā€¦I could probably pounce on you with a knife nowā€¦ā€ he laughed.

ā€œYou can be alone even if you have a person around youā€¦thatā€™s how I felt when my mom was here so I guess I was pretty used to being aloneā€¦ā€ I said handing him coffee mug. ā€œThanksā€¦ā€ he said sipping the hot coffee.

We worked on the assignment and finished it sooner than I expectedā€¦Aaron is really pretty goodā€¦he will be some serious competition to meā€¦I thought. ā€œDo you miss your dadā€¦?ā€ His question caught me off guard.

ā€œI donā€™t knowā€¦ā€ tears trickled in my eyes as I lied. ā€œDonā€™t you think Mr. Wilson should find loveā€¦It certainly will help his moodā€¦ā€ Aaron said suddenly changing the topic. I frowned. ā€œI think love will change that manā€¦ā€ he said eyes distant. ā€œWhatā€¦?ā€ I asked dumbfounded. He grinned. The wall clock struck 6. ā€œHeyā€¦I have to go workā€¦ā€ I said gathering all the stuff that we spread on the floor to work on the assignment, he helped me pick upā€¦I ran into my room to freshen up.

ā€œDidnā€™t you goā€¦?ā€™I asked as I saw Ron staring at our family portrait. I ran into the kitchen and picked up the keys hurrying outsideā€¦Ron stood by my car. ā€œWhat are you planning to do this weekendā€¦?ā€ He asked. ā€œNothingā€¦ā€ I said. ā€œWell, I have a surprise for you thenā€¦ā€ he winked.

The work at diner was tiring some todayā€¦ I slept like a rock as soon as I reached home.

ā€œDid you think of a planā€¦?ā€Aaron said grabbing a chair and sitting beside me with his food plate set on the tableā€¦All my friends abruptly stopped whatever they were talking and stared at Aaron. He waved his hands in front of my face. ā€œHave you seen a ghostā€¦?ā€He smirked.

ā€œNopeā€¦just wondering what you are doing here?ā€ I said. ā€œAm I not welcome in your groupā€¦?ā€ He said trying to sound hurt. ā€œYou are more than welcomeā€¦itā€™s justā€¦umā€¦we didnā€™t expect you to sit hereā€¦ā€ Amy babbled.

I introduced Aaron to the group...Itā€™s not like that they donā€™t know who is he but I wanted to give a formal introā€¦He corrected me when I said Aaronā€¦ā€Itā€™s Ronā€¦ā€he kept saying. ā€œHey, Alā€¦ā€He waved to his brother who was scanning the crowd probably for him. He walked towards us throwing wary glances at meā€¦I shrugged.

ā€œDid you think of a planā€¦?ā€ Ron asked as Alan squeezed conveniently into our group. ā€œWhat planā€¦?ā€ I asked. ā€œWe thought that we should find Mr. Wilsonā€™s loveā€¦ā€ Ron grinned. ā€œWhatā€¦?ā€ Amy stared at us.

ā€œThat was not even my ideaā€¦ā€ I said to herā€¦ ā€œMr. Wilson in loveā€¦that isnā€™t going to happenā€¦Aaronā€¦ā€ Beck said. ā€œRonā€¦ā€he grumbled. I giggled at his dislike at his name. ā€œEvery person deserves to be happy in his lifeā€¦ā€Ron pointed.

ā€œWhat do you propose to doā€¦?ā€ I asked. He shruggedā€¦I laughed and was awarded a glare from him. ā€œYou are a man full of thoughts but no ideas to implement themā€¦ā€ I said. ā€œAlā€¦What do you think we should doā€¦?ā€ Ron asked. Why would Ron ask him, he would sure ignore considering us as crazy, young teenagers.

ā€œLettersā€¦?ā€ Alan thought out loudā€¦ ā€œGood oneā€¦broā€¦ā€he said patting his backā€¦ā€Whose name should we mention in those lettersā€¦?ā€ Beck asked. ā€œMrs. Tingleā€¦I have seen her trying to flirt with him sometimesā€¦ā€ Eddy suppliedā€¦This is ridiculousā€¦ I have never thought our group as crazy teenagers but maybe I havenā€™t seen this side of themā€¦They were all bouncing with joy as Ron told them his planā€¦ ā€œWe all are crazyā€¦ā€I said. Ron grinned widely.

ā€œWho is going to write the letterā€¦?ā€ Amy asked. Amy and Beckā€™s gaze flickered towards meā€¦ā€Heyā€¦ I have no idea of how to write a love letterā€¦ā€ ā€œAlā€¦Will write...ā€ Ron said. Alan nodded.

ā€œDo you have any idea of what you are doingā€¦?ā€I asked as we walked back to our classes. Everyone face held a sheepish grin as they thought about the planā€¦ā€ I told you everyone needs to enjoy their lifeā€¦ā€ Ron winked. I nodded my head in disbelief.

Ron stayed surprisingly quiet throughout the classā€¦Iā€™m sure that crazy brain of his is concocting more plansā€¦ other classes passed by soon and I found myself walking home aloneā€¦

ā€œRoseā€¦ā€ Ron honked. ā€œGet inā€¦ā€He said unlocking the back seat door. ā€œOh! Noā€¦I donā€™t want to be victim of your mad drivingā€¦ā€I said. ā€œCome onā€¦ Iā€™ll drive slowly if you wantā€¦ā€he said. I wasnā€™t surprised to see Alan sitting in the car. True to his wordsā€¦he drove slowly.

ā€œArenā€™t you going to invite us inā€¦?ā€ Ron said already in the houseā€¦ā€Should Iā€¦? You arenā€™t the one to care about formalitiesā€¦ā€I smiled. He dragged Al with him but he seemed uncomfortableā€¦ I gave them coffeeā€¦ Al took his mug tentatively and his finger tips brushed my skin and tickles ran all over my body, our eyes met and I found myself drowning in those eyes of his yet again.

ā€œRoseā€¦ā€ Ronā€™s voice shook me from my reverie. ā€œDo you want to see the lettersā€¦perhaps you may find anything to changeā€¦ā€ He said. Al took out a red color envelope from his pocketsā€¦

His cologne scent lingered on the paper he wroteā€¦ It really felt goodā€¦ I shook my head and started to read the contents of the letter. Itā€™s not poetic yet poignant in expressing feelingsā€¦ā€You write wellā€¦ā€I said. ā€œMy brother is sort of into writingā€¦ā€ Ron smiled. ā€œJust try to use small wordsā€¦Itā€™ll suit Mr. Wilsonā€™s style and Mrs. Tingle likes to boast about her vocabularyā€¦soā€¦better use big wordsā€¦ā€I said.

ā€œImpressiveā€¦ā€Ron winked. They left as soon as the clock struck 6 p.m. I woke up startled as my phone rang continuously. Who would be at this timeā€¦? ā€œRoseā€¦?ā€ ā€œRonā€¦what the hellā€¦?ā€ I shrieked. I could hear his laughter ringing on the other end. ā€œI will pick you up todayā€¦at 7.30ā€¦ā€He said. ā€œWhatā€¦7.30ā€¦I donā€™t think even school doors will be opened at that timeā€¦ā€I said. ā€œI know itā€¦We canā€™t do these things in front of everyoneā€¦ā€he said. ā€œGet readyā€¦ā€he said and clicked the phone off. I fell asleep on the bed.

ā€œRoseā€¦wake upā€¦ā€Ron yelled at me. ā€œWhat are you doing hereā€¦?ā€ I shrieked. ā€œI told you to get ready by 7.30ā€¦ā€ he growled. ā€œFineā€¦Go downā€¦Iā€™ll be there in five minutesā€¦ā€ I said. He nodded and leftā€¦

ā€œYou are insaneā€¦you know thatā€¦ā€ I shrieked at him as I saw him waiting by his car. He grinned mischievously. ā€œI donā€™t know why Iā€™m even coming with youā€¦ā€ I sulked as I sat in the car.

It felt like childish to do such thingsā€¦Why canā€™t I just say ā€˜noā€™ but if I had just said it I would have missed all the fun that happened that day. The college was almost emptyā€¦it felt weird to see it emptyā€¦something different that I see from everydayā€¦To my utter surprise Alan joined us in this crazy mission. ā€œWhere do you think is Mr. Wilsonā€™s locker is?ā€ he asked eying all the lockers in the staff room. ā€œI think itā€™s that one over thereā€¦ā€I pointed to a locker on the fourth row, painted yellow. He picked the locker and placed the letter neatly in his mathā€™s text book. They hid another blue envelope with a red rose in Mrs. Tingleā€™s lockerā€¦ We hurried outside into the courtyard.

ā€œDid you see Mrs. Tingle todayā€¦?ā€ Amy asked us as she set her plate downā€¦I frowned. ā€œShe was so much fun todayā€¦We liked her class. She was jubilant and strange thing is that she pinned a red rose into her hair.ā€ ā€œWhatā€¦?ā€I shrieked. She frowned at usā€¦ā€Does it have something to do with our planā€¦?ā€ Beck asked. I nodded.

ā€œMission accomplishedā€¦ā€ Ron stated. ā€œWhatā€¦?ā€ He waved us to follow him. We threw our plates into the bin and followed him. He hushed us as we passed by the staff roomā€¦We opened the back door window and silently peeked inā€¦ I was surprised to see Mr. Wilson holding Mrs. Tingleā€™s handsā€¦ She was blushing so hard when he spokeā€¦

ā€œWhat is he talkingā€¦?ā€ Eddy asked pressing his ears hard to the window. ā€œWhy donā€™t you just go and ask himā€¦?ā€ Ron laughed. ā€œHeyā€¦Itā€™s not good to pry on love birdsā€¦ā€I said closing the windowsā€¦

ā€œIt was the first time I saw him smile and you knowā€¦ umā€¦ there is strange feeling when I saw them happy togetherā€¦likeā€¦ā€I tried hard to explain what I was feeling. ā€œYou are happy that you made someone happyā€¦ā€ Alan said in almost a whisper. I stared at him.

ā€œThanksā€¦ Though I felt it is crazyā€¦I think I understand why you did itā€¦ā€I said to the Blake brothers. Ron grinned and Alan flashed his secretive smile. ā€œShe is right...man. It felt really good to see him laughing after all this timeā€¦ā€ Eddy said. ā€œI always knew that they had something going in between themā€¦ā€Beck said. ā€œOh! Reallyā€¦?ā€Amy asked raising her eye brows in question. ā€œItā€™s funny that it just took a simple letter to get them togetherā€¦ā€Amy said smiling.

ā€œSometimes simple things are what we need to make us happyā€¦ā€Ron said. She nodded. His very words had an unusual effect on meā€¦they stuck to my mind throughout the day.

Mr. Wilson was cheerful in the class. Everyone was surprised to see him smiling all through the class and when he saw someone yawning in the class, he asked him to go and wash his face. Ron laughed at me as my mouth dropped open.

ā€œHowā€¦?ā€ I asked. ā€œEveryone has something in life that keeps him sane and happyā€¦you need to find that one thingā€¦Mr. Wilson smile faded away with the death of his wife and returned when he found someone to fill her placeā€¦ā€ Ron said.

I should have listened to him when he said something for my own goodā€¦I could feel the night creeping up on meā€¦the comfort of being inside my dadā€™s car stared to wear off as my car crawled into the night spaceā€¦ the hooting of owl and the whimper of the wolves didnā€™t help my cramped up nervesā€¦I took deep breathsā€¦once Iā€™m homeā€¦Iā€™ll be safe in the confines of the wallā€¦I
