Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. "Shit" I mutter, I don't even realize that Xander is standing next to me until someone lifts my wounded arm. "Ouch" I cry, snatching my arm away from his grip, he raises an eye brow at me

"Since when do vampires feel pain? He asks, amused

"Since when do hunters help their victims" I spit back

"You are not the victim here" he says, moving his arm so can the scene of the fight, there is black ashed grass from where the demons had disintegrated and one of them must have drop their dagger because there is one just a few feet away from where I am standing. I leave Xander and walk over to get it, I have to bite back the urge to scream as I bend down to retrieve it, not caring that I feel light headed from the loss of blood, I should have healed by now may its because I haven't performed the sanguinem caermonia in a while but it seems to me that Xander does care because he is at my side with a look of utter concern planted on his face.

"Come on, I am taking you to get those wounds checked on'' he says as he leads me to his car

"No, I'll be fine'' I say in protest but he won't listen

"Hang on, I need to grab something quick" he heads back into the building. I could have left now if I was only able to, the loss of blood has made it difficult to stand without swaying, I hold onto the hood of the car for support. He comes back with four white towels, he opened the passenger door and placed one of the towel onto the seat and the other three onto the dashboard.

"Give me your hand so I can help you into the car" he says reaching for my uninjured arm, I hesitate but give him my hand in the end. He takes the towels off the dashboard and wipes the blood off of my arm and the wraps a clean one around it, he gives me the last towel and tells me to put pressure onto my leg. Out of nowhere he has a trash bag and dumps the bloody towels in it he was just about to turn around when....

"Wait" I call him back, he stops staring at me

"What's wrong?" he asks with concern in his voice

"Don't throw that towel away cuz it's got my blood on it'' I say in panic

"I know, that's why I am going to throw it away" he says now with annoyance in his voice

"I know that but you can't throw that away cuz it's got my blood on it'' I say but know with annoyance in my voice as well

"Why?" he asks

"Because you need to burn it'' I say trying to keep my explanation short

"Again, why?" he asks, with more annoyance in his voice

"Cuz like I said its got my blood on it, so you need to burn it otherwise those things will come back and take those towels so they can separate my blood and use it against my people'' I clamp my mouth shut with, my uninjured arm, after I realized what I had just said.

"Okaaay'' he says really slowly "I'll go and get a lighter then'' he turns around but I call him back, again.

"You don't need a lighter, just drop the bag and move away from it'' clearly he knows what I am about to do because he does just that. "Thanks" I say turning my body to get a good angle, I wince from

the pain as it shoots through me. My hand is faced palm up so the fire ball comes slowly but big enough to throw with, I watch the bag burn and am still watching when Xander spoke to me from the other side of the car                   "You might wanna close that door if you don't want to fall out while I'm driving'' I manage to lift my hand but it ends up going limp soon after so Xander bends over so his body hovers over my lap and closes the door, his body feels soo warm, wait did i just? shit Arhine stop thinking like that!

We drive in silence for 10 minutes when....

"Why are you helping me, Chasseur? (Hunter)'' I ask, he answers me without taking his eyes of the road

"Why shouldn't I?''

"Wellll.... apart from the fact that both of us are hunters as well as enemies here, nothing else crosses my mind no seriously, why help? Why me?'' I answer back. He doesn't answer me back but I can see that he is trying to bite back a smile, eventually the silence starts to get uncomfortable so I end up fiddling with the towels since my wounds have dried I can take them off.

"Ouch'' I say wincing as I try to move my left arm. "Great, just great'' I mutter "Is there anything else that you would like to add to my list of pains?'' I forgot where I was until I felt an uncomfortable feeling of a pair of eyes staring at me, I turn my head to see Xander looking at me.

"W...w...what?'' I ask clenching my teeth, praying that they would stop clattering, man its soo cold in here

"Nothing'' he replies smiling to himself and as if he senses my shivers, he turns on the heater.

"Thanks'' I say as politely as I could

"No problem'' he says with a touch of amusement

"Can I ask you a quick question?''

"Sure''

"What the hell is your problem because when you talk or see me I always find you smirking or amused''

"Oh, nothing'' he says, perfectly calm

"No, seriously what is your problem?''
