WHERE ARE THEY NOW

Do you remember the time when all black people got their first start into life? Do you remember that group that started it all? Do you remember the sport figure, singer, writer, or poet? Where are they now? This is a mystery to some and a joyous day to others. Let’s talk about how it all got started and what it took to keep them alive. I remember a time ago when people used to go out and just wandered around without any idea of what they were gonna come across. I know that as I speak of today that there are a lot of things that people have done and said and even invented, but where are they now. Do you suppose that they had children, grand children that could keep the dream alive and going. I wander why it that only a chosen few have made it a family tradition to keep things going. I want to start in the beginning when it was not a dream, but something that just happened. One day a young man was fighting for his rights and he felt that all that was happening to him he needed to do something about it. So he wrote letters, he got others involved that knew nothing about the movement, but he was willing to teach all of them about the struggles that our people have endured. So this goes on and on until one day another brother comes to his aid and his right hand man and they formed a marriage of brotherhood. Now this brother that comes along to his other brothers aid I jus as willing to fix the problem as he was. This brother (the one that came later) decided to going the same direction as his partner. So a gain they formed a bond. Now be mindful that in the mix they have recruited others to their entourage to become a force to be reckoned with. So this goes on for a whole and they now are able to get space to rent or lease for their private meetings. These were closed door meetings and only a few were able to enter and have permission to sit among these other individual who have united and amalgamated. These brothers were very gifted. Now let me tell you how gifted these brothers were. Now mind you they knew not of each other before the met. What happened is that one brother had one objective and the other one had the drive. They came up when there was a time when things were hard to suck up. Being that they were black is just one of the things that mad eit tougher for them. Theses brothers has a zeal about them, they has a gait that was like no other before them in such a sense. This thing could not have happened at a better time and generation. Now you had blacks before them, but the ones before them was just basically all talk and a little action if not any. Now these brothers once that they got their ideas and goals they were irrefragable to the point that everyone was afraid of them. People feared theses niggas. These niggas were very diligent and accrued. I mean they were just cold. Now I want to tell you not that not only did they have people working for them, they even went to the point to acquire a small army of brothers and sisters that were willing to take ac chance and get shit down to a science, if you know what I mean. Now like I said before they had people before them that fought but none did what these boys did. They started programs for children, they fed people, thy made sure that their folks (race) were taken care of. How many leaders before them or even after them has done what thy have done. And still today these programs are still here but the one that helped start it all is lost and gone away from us forever. Now even though this army pf blacks have taken a stand up for their rights you know that they are under the microscope. When you get a bunch of blacks together in one place there’s always gonna be a Judas in the midst of the tumultuous crowd of society. These brothers even though they appeared be a threat, but they were no real threat to society. All they wanted was to give tier people the same justice like the white folks. WE did not come to hurt or harm anyone , but one saw that they were a threat so you know as always there was a curtail that was gonna happen. These brothers did not see t his coming at all, why? Because they were to focus on doing what it is that they do to help their people through the struggle. Now this one white man really abhorred this group of people, he made a promulgation to the nation that he was gonna stop t his and bring them down no matter what. Now usually there is a fallacy, but not in this case, usually it is a scare tactic to let the group be in a state of supinely. But they did not lay down that easily. But all that this did was become and aggrandizement of these brothers. I tell you some of these brothers were killed in the process. Some even had turned against one another within the group by the oppressors, and you know t hat once this happens in the black race there is separation at hand. This was a clever plan by this one man that was able to infiltrate this group of people to destroy these of people and it was a success. Now that after years have passed by, the group had dissipated. After all that they have done, accomplished, all that they have created for their race, communities, the courage and ll the blood and death they had to deal with. The founder found himself on that same bed or daisies. But through it all the one that co-founded it all the one who had the true zeal as his partner had the objective, drive, the one brother that said “power to the people, people with power”, he remains to be living as a legend today. His name is Bobby Seal. He still graces the streets of desire, the streets where he fought for his people, the same streets that helped children eat, have places to go and play safe. But for the Black Panthers: Where are they now, when we really need you the most.
