My family was once normal. A loving Mother & Father, a warm clean house. But, one day my father left my mother when I was 7. My mother blamed it all on me and made me do all the chores. Then, she had Leah when I was 10. I was forced to clean and look after Leah while Mother went out till all hours of the night. If Mother came home and the house wasn't clean she would beat me. From then on I have been taking care of Leah and the house. Once, I did try to run away with Leah, but Mother caught us and the punishment was severe. When Mother had caught us she brought us home. While at home I excepcted a beating right away - but it didn't come. In the morning I woke up and instantly began my chores. After I was done I went to my bedroom and fell back asleep. When I awoke next time Leah was already up and so was Mother. it was unusual because Mother was smiling and holding Leah by the hand. She said," Why did you try to run away yesterday honey?" I replied," I don't know it was foolish of me." Next thing I knew Mother was on top of me and repeatidly slapping me in the face. I got up and ran to Leah I picked her up and ran outside were Mother wouldn't dare hurt us. She was screaming at us to get are butts back inside.
