The little imp could be in the sky
Could even be somewhere on the ground
No matter where it is you might look
The little imp can never be found
Several things happened to me today and I also observed it happening to other people. When I got up this morning, I could not find my car keys and then I find them in a spot where I have already looked three times. At breakfast I spilled my juice, dropped my fork, and knocked the salt shaker over. When I went out to my car to go to work, I dropped my keys when I went to unlock the car door. When I get to work I notice other people dropping things also. What is going on here? We have been carrying things around our whole lives. Shouldn't we be better than this at it? Why do we really drop things all of the time?
My theory is that there must be invisible imps, for lack of a better name to call them. I don't know if we are assigned one at birth named George or something, or if there are just random imps out there knocking things out of our hands. I don't believe people are so inept that they can not carry things around with out dropping them. With all the years of experience we have of carrying things, it seems like the little imp is the only answer.
I think we need to invent some kind of imp repellent, an imp trap, or at least some kind of special glasses so we could see what these imps are doing. I'm not sure what repels these imps, so a wide variety of things need to be tried. For instance the fruit cake. Perhaps wearing one of these around your neck all day will repel the little imp. Keep a daily journal and see what works best. I'm not sure what kind of trap you could catch an imp in. This will require a lot of research and further testing. Perhaps maybe a government grant would cover this project. The same way with the little imp glasses. It might take many years to perfect these, and the we might find out it is not so little after all. Stay alert and hang on to your keys
