"Two weeks have passed since the abduction of 15-year old Caitlyn Jerolds from her school, with no news. However, Police Chief Kerigen has announced that they are not giving up hope, and are close to a breakthrough. Caitlyn Jerolds is 5"8, with brown hair, and green-brown eyes. She was last seen wearing neon yellow jeans, a pink shirt, and green converse, carrying a Red backpack. If anyone has seen her, please call 1-802-654-3209. I repeat, 1-802-654-3209. And if you hear this, Caitlyn, don't give up hope, we are still loo-" He turned off the hand-held radio, and put it on the shelf. I knew he was taunting me, shutting it off mid-sentence. I resisted the urge to cry, knowing it would only be giving him what he wanted "Fuck off" i spat. "Oh, dear. Watch your Tongue." He walked forward, and i scooted back, farther against the cold concrete wall. He laughed menacingly and slapped me hard across the face. "You might insult the wrong person, one of these days" He spat on me, and walked to the door. I felt hope, that he might leave, for good. Anything would be better than this. "Don't worry" he said, smiling faintly. "I'll be back to visit soon. Remember the rules, you wouldn't want to loose the game, now would you?" I paled, feeling slightly sick. "I didn't think so. Goodnight, Caitlyn"
Will
I glared at the TV screen, with her picture in the corner. The newsman was finishing his report on Caitlyn, "We are still looking for you, and we will find you. This has been John Berry with the 11 o'clock news." It flashed back to her picture, the one her Mrs Jerolds had given them, with the tip-line cumber underneath, flashing yellow. I looked at the picture, knowing the same one was in my pocket. It had been just a few months earlier, on the fourth of July. Caitlyn and i had been at the waterfront, with her parents, and our friends. She had a camera, and was taking pictures of everything and everyone. Except herself, that is. Caitlyn never let people take her picture. But Aly had grabbed the camera from her, and had me pose her. Finally, Caitlyn had given in, and looked over her shoulder at us, amusement and annoyance clear in her eyes. It was a great picture, but she didn't like it. Whenever i asked why she always sighed and said "Well, Will, I'm the only one in it! It’s almost..Sad, being the only one in a picture." I laughed a little at the memory, before my insides went cold. Caitlyn was gone, and it was my fault. If only I had believed her when she said she thought someone was following her. Or ran into the girls’ bathroom when she screamed, instead of thinking it was joke. Mr and Mrs Jerolds should blame me, but they don't. I slumped a little, and pulled off my boots. Another fruitless search. The police had nothing, except for requests to keep searching our school grounds. But this was the sixth search, and we still hadn't found anything. I fell backwards, onto my bed, not caring that I was still dressed. Nor caring about anything, not even my girlfriend, Mimi except the fact that Caitlyn was missing…
Mimi
I can’t believe Caitlyn’s missing. This stuff only happens other places, not here. Not to people I know. I mean, yeah, I’m glad that I don’t need to worry about will and her anymore… because I swear they did not act like friends and god, what is wrong with me. Caitlyn is missing, and I’m thinking about Will and i? How selfish can I be?!?! Okay, calm down, and stop thinking about it. But I can’t believe that the last time I saw her, I told will that he had to choose between us. I can’t believe I did that to him, and her. As soon as we find her, I’m going to apologize, and tell them I’m sorry, and I was being ridiculous. I lie down, and set my alarm. I should have gone on the search today, however pointless. I mean, even though we’ve had five of them, its still important to keep up hope. I roll over, and turn off my light. School tomorrow, because somehow life goes on.
