I should have been an employer as a bell hop in a hotel both day and night.

Opening the door, I find that Evin was alone. No Lexi, no Antonio, and especially no Don
 yippy! Oh wait
 I’m alone with Evin!!!

“Um.., may I come in?” He asked his eye brow up slightly.

I decided to tease him. “Are you a vampire?” I ask in a mock suspicious tone.

Grinning, Evin starts saying, in a Dracula tone, “Yes, may I come to your house?”

Now laughing my head off, I invited him in but he didn’t right away. He checked to see if there were any force barriers. Laughing again, I go behind him and give him a gentle push.

“You’re teasing me!” I said grinning, crossing my arms at my chest.

Smirking, Evin looks at me in a mock hurt and a mock confusion. “Me? I’m teasing you?” I gave him a little punch and he starts cracking up hard.

“Where are the others?” I ask trying to be a little serious but couldn’t do it yet.

“I decide to come alone. For some strange reason, something or someone told me to come and see you alone.” Evin explains looking at me squared in the eyes.

‘Look away, don’t stare at me, please for the love that all it is mike, look away!’ I thought shifting my eyes over his shoulders.

“What are you looking at?” He asked in confusion. ‘Oh crud, think of something fast.’ I thought as I try and come up with something he would believe.

Seeing his impression like as if he was waiting to get on with an important meeting, I finally said this, “I was checking to make sure that it wouldn’t rain or that Don wasn’t there.”

“Well he’s not, if he were I would have sensed him and as for the rain
Are we having rain?” Evin says walking towards me.

Sitting himself on a chair, Evin looks around then stops his head and eyes at me, again. “I came to ask you about the Poltergeist you performed yesterday.” Evin says making me stop
everything that is dead about me.

“Um
 I
 I um
” I stutter, ‘darn you man, quick stuttering!’ I thought as Evin gets out of the chair and lifts my chin up so we were eye to eye. He touching me is making me think of nasty things, things I would like to do if we were alive.

“Yes, I want to talk to you about it. What I have learned is that you are not allowed to do it until you have been properly trained but it seems to me that it looks like you’re a natural born Poltergeist.” Evin explains letting go of my chin. Oh why did he do that? I was in Heaven! Oh why, why, why!?

Seeing my expression, he chuckled a little. Why that
handsome, hot, muscular, good-looking devil, I want to kill him... Again! Wait, can ghosts die again? Hm

Going to my kitchen, Evin looks in the fridge to see if there was anything to eat. There’s hardly anything considering that ghosts and other people like us, Grim Reapers, Sandmen, Poltergeists, etc don’t eat food much.

Evin finally settled on a drink, not feeling hungry he said. That’s a big surprise
not!

“Well I had a small chat with a Grim Reaper,” He said stopping to see what I’m going to say which I did.

“What did he say?” I ask hands in my pocket. “He said that he would like to meet you and our friends, especially Don.” Evin explains grinning.

‘Don!? Why him? I understand my friends but why Don?!’ I wonder my fingers twitching inside my pocket.

Not leaving his expression, Evin takes a sip form his chosen drink and drinks it all gone in one breath. “All he said was he wants to meet us including Don. I don’t know why Don either but I got a hunch.” He explains crushing the can, throwing it up in the air, snapped his fingers and the can disappear in thin air.

After we had a pretty long conversation, just to two of us, we decide to wait for the others to come to my place. Lexi arrived first, then Antonio, and lastly Don.

“Why did you call me? No one does that?!” Don shouts out slamming his fist against the wall, creating a small but deep hole. He didn’t even flinch after he did it or rubbed it all he did was look madder and madder, almost fed-up actually.

Evin was at my side ready for if Don would attack, he didn’t. As we wait for Evin’s new friend, Wraith, the Grim Reaper. Whatever he wanted, whoever he wanted, all I know is that I don’t think I am fully prepared; but I am somewhat prepared
 I think.

After what it seems like forever, I hear the bell ring. I get up to go open the door but Antonio got there before I did; therefore, he opened the door and let Don in quickly before “things” start happening.

Closing the door, it was stopped dead in its track by a foot. ‘Who’s foot?’ I thought looking over to see who or what it was.

It’s Wraith, when Antonio stepped away to give him room to enter, we finally gotten a full view of what he looked like.

He didn’t look like the Grim Reapers people would put up on Halloween, no. He looked handsome, his eyes are orange, he is skinny but with some muscles, he wore a long hooded cloak like all Reapers.

I couldn’t see what color his hair was because he covered it with the hood but I took a guess and it’s black
I was right, he lowered the hood and last of all, every Reapers have one, must have one at all times, a scythe.

The scythe was on his back, the blade towards the ground, I discovered that it was taller than Wraith.

Seeing our awe, Wraith smiled a little and sat himself down on an empty chair. He sat like as if he were the most important man in the world, like a king or a president.

“Now, which one of you is Josh?” He asks as everyone pointed at me, myself included. I didn’t understand, he was looking straight at me but it looked like he was blind.

“Could you say “here” or something? I am blind when there is no death coming on but when there is, I can see. But only the person or people who are about to die.” Wraith explains apologetic.

Oh so I was right he is blind. I said “here” and Wraith smiled. “Now then first of all I need to see,” he explains as he closes his eyes, throws his head back, and then a mighty wind comes nearly blowing us away form where we were sitting.

After it was done, Wraith blinked his eyes a couple of times to clear his vision. He can now see. “Alright, Josh, I understand that you used Poltergeist without learning or knowing it.”

I nodded my head for it was true, I did do it without learning and knowing it. I felt two hands, one on each of my shoulders and silently, Wraith said that it was alright, it happened to him before.

Changing the subject by accident, I asked how he became a Grim Reaper. He told us that he is only half Grim Reaper, his father is the head of all Grim Reapers and his mother is still alive.

He also told use that he could only visit her during spring and summer, he was there with her but he was needed and after he discuss my Poltergeist “accident” he would return to her.

“But first let’s fix you up. If you accidentally or purposely do Poltergeist again, you will surely loose energy, a lot of energy.” Wraith explains helping me up to my feet.

As we wait to see what he would do, we see his hand going behind him; he grabbed his scythe, swings it around his head, steps back, and then points it towards me, blade near the face. He told me that I will not hurt but afterwards I would feel sore.

I nodded my head “alright” then the blade lit up and then there was light around it, an aura, the aura of the blade was orange, just like Wraith’s eyes.

He swung the scythe again and this time, a flash of light hit me. Throwing my head back, and spreading my arms out, I then begin to rise a few feet in the air.

Once I was fully in the air, Wraith then “cuts” my abdomen but even that didn’t hurt. After he was done, Evin had to rush over to grab me before I hit hard on the ground.

He asked how do I feel and I told him sore, just like what Wraith explained before we did it.

“What does this got to do with us?” Lexi asks as Wraith looks at her, swings his scythe and each of my friends, except for Don, he’s my enemy; all got blasted by the scythe.

‘Wait, what are you doing?!’ I wondered but I couldn’t do anything, I was so sore, the only thing I can do is watch my friends’
and Don’s bodies rise off from the floor.

After he was done, everyone fell on the floor hard. I heard everyone say “ouch or ow”. I crawled over to Evin and held him tightly.

“What did you do to them?” I asked my voice still weak from my encounter. Wraith explained that when one accidentally does Poltergeist and if there are others around him, they too accidentally do Poltergeist.

He was preventing that from happening to them. I was grateful; I didn’t want them to “suffer” the same thing I’ve had.

We shook each others’ hands but Don didn’t, he rushed out before any “harm” could come to “him”. After we said our good-byes, Lexi left but me, Wraith, and Evin stayed for a little bit then Wraith left.

As we watch him leave, we see him swinging his scythe once more and a portal opened to Earth, he sheathed his scythe, and walks towards the portal.

I like Wraith, for three reasons: He is Evin’s friend, he’s a Grim Reaper, and he scared the heck out of Don. Yes! I love him!
Chapter 4: New Boyfriend

After seeing Wraith, I turn to face Evin who was grinning at me. What did I
