Dear Arizona,
The other day when I was in my friend's room, I asked her about this box on her shelf. She said that the stuff inside was privet. Dont you think it was rude of her not to show me?
-Carly

Dear Carly,
I got the same kind of response from my best friend,Zack when I asked the simple question,"what are you writing?"
"Nothing!" He snapped, then he threw his sweatshirt over his notebook."Whoa! Take it easy,"I said "Whats the big secret, anyway?" "Would you just give me some space."said Zack
"Whats going on?" I demanded."Why are you acting so strange?" "I didn't now that a person's right to privacy was consider strange," he said, garbing his notebook and skateboarding away.
Why was Zack being so secretive? What if he was writing stuff about me in his note book, what if they were bad stuff? When i finally came home from school I took out mt secret dairy and started writing what happen."What are you riding asked mt little sister looking over my shoulder."None of your business! I said kinda loudly. "Would you please just give leave me alone!" "Its not fair i show you ever thing i do!"Shouted back Ania."How come you don't like me anymore?"
And that's when i got it.I still liked Ania its that i like to keep my stuff privet. Was it possible that Zack wasn't trying to hurt my feelings by hiding his notebook after all? Was it possible that i was taking things a little (or a lot) too personally? Maybe Zack just wanted to keep whatever was in that notebook to himself, and that's all there was to it.
Then i put down my stuff and turned trowed Ania "I'm sorry,"
I said giving her a hug. "Of cores i still like you.As a mater of fact you just help me." "I help you by making you made?" Ania asked confused. "No!" I laughed.I explained to her everything "So you help me understand everything." "I did?" she asked. I nodded. "Sometimes people need some to keep certain things privet," I explained "Like my dairy or Zack's notebook. Not because they're trying to keep secrets or anything but just because-well, what I'm saying is that its OK not to share everything all the time." "OK," said Ania. "So now will you show me what you were doing?" I don't think Ania totally understated my point,. From then on i got less frisked out about Zack's notebook.I like to say that i was cool that i didn't even care what he was writing. But the truth is- I am a little curious.
About a million years (or about a couple of month)later Zack got out his guitar and asked if i wanted to hear something. When i said OK, he opened his note book and started to play."WOW!"I said at the end."I've been trying to write this song forever," he said "I know its not all that good, but-"
"Yeah Zack your right," I interrupted "Its amazing! You are a seriously talented songwriter!" "Really!"he blushed."Really." i said back.So basically my,carouse friend, if someone is being secretive to hurt your feelings on purpose, that's one thing. But if someone just needs to keep things privet, that's pretty different. So, about that box on your friends shelf-maybe one day you'll find out whats inside, and maybe not. Either way, its definitely not worth losing a friendship over.
