When my life was taken, I was so close to turning 14, I could touch it. I was a month and 3 days away. I had a burning desire to grow out of my awkward 13 year-old mind and turn into someone much more mature and smart than I. My life was wonderful and happy. I had everything I wanted, had all the friends I could ask for, and the greatest family. I even liked school. Then, it was all ripped away because I was foolish. Maybe, if I had turned 14, I would have been smart enough to avoid this.
