She stepped out of the bathroom to find that he had already undressed and reclining on the bed with a throw cover draped over his middle section, and his hands laced behind his head. She frowned. She knew he had no modesty to him what so ever. She ignored her unease with how he seemed at odds with his nature there and pointed back to the bathroom. "I set out a toothbrush and toothpaste for you. We don't use mouth rinse or handle other needs in the same way."
"Show me." Moto ordered as he stood and came to stand before her.
She glanced down at his manhood and blushed.
He laughed and tilted her chin up. "After all our times together, you still blush at the sight of me?"
She shrugged.
He kissed her. "Show me." He said.
She showed him everything he needed to know about the bathroom and hygiene in her world, and then left him to it. By the time he was done she poured two tumblers of brandy and was sitting in bed with her back resting against the headboard. She was half under the covers. She handed Moto a tumbler after he climbed into bed next to her. "Night cap," she said and saluted him with hers. She took a sip and watched him over the rim as she had with the tea.
It was apparent that he liked the brandy better than the peppermint tea. "I like. Wait, is this like brey?" he asked eyeing her suspiciously.
"Sort of," she said. She yelped when he divested her of her tumbler of brandy. "Hey, give that back. It's not as strong as brey."
He narrowed his eyes at her and took a long drink of his. "Truth?"
"Sort of," she said.
He downed half hers and handed her tumbler back.
"Spoil sport," she muttered, but grinned at him. She scooted closer so that he was forced to put his arm around her shoulders. She snuggled into the crook of his arm and sipped her brandy.
He downed his and set his tumbler on the nightstand beside the bed.
She managed another sip before he again took hers way from her. He set it on the nightstand on her side of the bed. She supposed that was something. He could have downed hers too.
"I want to love you, little one." He explained as he slid her down the bed to lay on her back and he covered her body with his.
"Really?" Her heart jumped into her throat. "You're ready to complete the bonding with me?" There was hope in her tone that she didn't bother to hide.
"No," he replied, shaking his head, "you're still not ready, little one. I want to touch you, kiss you, feel you pressed close to me, and feel your hands and mouth on me. If you're willing?" he added as almost an afterthought.
She couldn't hide her disappointment. She nodded. "I am." If he wasn't ready, she would be patient, she would try to be patient. It was not a virtue she possessed in abundance, if at all. Isn't that what Sari counseled her from the beginning? He helped divest her of her clothing and spent the night loving her the only way that she knew he could. It would have to be enough. She gave herself to his ministrations.
Chapter Nineteen
Moto knelt beside the bed where Kaily lay sound asleep. He brushed back her hair from her face. He allowed his fingers to sift through her hair, admiring the way it shone a dark bronze in the light that streamed in through the window. He loved the way her hair hung just past her chin. He loved the slight curl it had, especially in the mornings before she combed it. He loved her deep sea-green eyes that changed with her moods. He loved her fair ivory satin skin and how soft it felt when he slid his fingers across its surface. He loved the fire that burned deep inside her that he could ignite at the slightest touch. He loved her scent that permeated his every sense. He even loved her stubbornness, and how she stood up to him, even when he could feel her fear of him. He intimidated her, not enough that she would not defy him, and he loved that she did, not at the time, but still it was a strength that he admired. He closed his eyes and drew in a deep calming breath, taking her scent deep into his being.
He intended to leave the morning after they arrived on her world, but he just couldn't bring himself to leave her. It had been three days since he brought her home, a wonderful, remarkable three days. He rested his chin on his hand next to her face and caressed her features. He probably shouldn't risk waking her, but he couldn't help touching her, memorizing every detail that was his Kaily. She would always be that to him, but the three days on her world showed him as nothing else could that she didn't belong in his world. She belonged in hers. He never saw her so happy in the short time they knew each other. She loved the Fergusons and he was growing quite fond of them himself. He loved how open and free she was with them, how she joked with them. He loved the sound of her laughter. He would always treasure these last days with her, always.
He kissed her forehead and stood. He must find
