play a total of 3 matches to finish off the championship. He looked at the tournament bracket flow chart as he prepped for the match.

The announcer for the tournament spoke abruptly through the speaker, which made Luis’s face groan in pain. “Let the games begin!”

Luis took an arrow out of his quiver that was strapped to his back. He steadied the arrow, making sure that the butt end was aligned properly by the bow knob, as he aimed towards the bullseye target. He steadied the tips of his fingers and palms onto his bow and arrow, as he released his arrow, which swiftly traveled with a bit of wind resistance factor coming into play. The arrow firmly struck the inner circle, nearly touching the bullseye itself. Luis’s opponent Steve shot all his arrows onto the target, but only 2 out of the 5 of his arrows were close to the bullseye, while Luis’s aim was more accurate and precise.

“The winners for round 1 are: Brandon Johnson, Aaron Williams, Luis Lockwood and Tom Civilis.” The bracket flow chart of the tournament scoreboard updated on display right by the archers as they peaked at it briefly. Brandon Johnson approached Luis Lockwood and nudged him hard, saying.

“You will not win Lockwood,” Brandon said to Luis very firmly.

“Says who?” Luis replied merely.

Brandon shoved Luis again, which caused a potential clash between the two. The referee for the game intervened and said firmly; “Knock it off you two. You still got a couple of games left to play. If you two ever do something stupid like this, I will kick you off this tournament. No questions asked!”

As Luis stared back at Brandon, he went back to his post and positioned himself for round 2 of the tournament. Luis despised Brandon a lot, since he always thought that Brandon was trying to be a big shot and was the type of guy who would cheat to win in everything. Tom Civilis, Luis’s next opponent approached him.

“What a day it has been,” Tom spoke. “Me at your birthday party, manhunt and now you and me against each other for a round of archery.”

“True indeed man.” Luis spoke. “I won’t go easy on you man.”

“Fine by me,” Tom spoke and smiled. “Neither will I.”

The two steadied their bows waiting for the countdown to begin round 2 of the archery tournaments. The crowds of people’s families were all watching steadily like a bunch of eagles and hawks, while Luis and the other archers were not used to having a crowd watching or gawking over them. The targets stood there with yellow circle, surrounded by a red middle circle alongside with the remaining outer circles being blue black and then simply white, as the radii increased for each colour ring region. Yellow circle represented the bullseye, which brought the points for accuracy to 100% potentially while the rest of the rings decrease roughly by the 20% margins, in terms of accuracy on where the arrowhead landed. Each coloured region had about 2 of its own rings, making it a total of 10 regions including the bullseye divided by these five specific colours for the target system. Each target system was approximately 70 meters away from each archer, having their own painted lines of space within a field of grass.

The announcer spoke aloud; “Round 2 begin!”

Tom and Luis steadied their bows and arrows swiftly and shot three to five arrows consecutively while Brandon Johnson was up against Aaron Williams. Luis released his first couple of arrows towards the target, which resulted on white and yellow ranges mainly but did not hit the bullseye. Tom struck his arrows at the white ring, last region of the target while his other arrow hit the bullseye, which ended up being low accuracy and low precision, along side Luis’s arrows being precise and accurate, very close to the bullseye.

The arrows were later removed, as the archers waited to shoot their next set of arrows towards the FITA based targeting system. Tiredly but steadily, Luis’s eyes focussed on the target while blurring out any background distraction, steadily and carefully, releasing the arrowhead’s end from the string of his elongated bow. The arrow tip penetrated the bullseye on centre, while his last remaining arrows hit the red and yellow region of the FITA based target. Tom’s arrows resulted mainly around the bullseye region (yellow) or mainly on the outer rings (black or white), this resulted Luis to the final round for the tournament. The following bracket flow chart as briefly shown in the tournament resulted as:

“Good match,” Tom spoke fairly and shook Luis’s hands. “Good luck on the final round!”

“Yeah, good game, thanks!” Luis replied.

Brandon Johnson again approached Luis, “You will lose spineless fool!”

“Hey, that’s enough out of you,” Tom defended Luis. “You piece of no-good filth! For once play fair like a man, rather than an immature brat that you are!”

Brandon, standing tall, about 6 feet and 2 inches tall, was a well-built person and had long medium brown hair with pale skin. He looked at Tom sternly and raised up his fist, but the referee approached him and batted an eye at him, warning him that he would be kicked off the tournament if he did not behave. Brandon backed off, still holding his rage, and angered by the comment that Tom made, defending Luis.

During the 10-minute break, Luis went to get a drink of water and use the restroom. leaving his quiver and arrows by the bench. Brandon waited for the right time to strike, he sneakily took out Luis’s arrows and started to chip off the tailed ends of the arrowheads to ruin its aerodynamic effect before Luis could use them for the final round. The announcer spoke out loud as Luis returned to his station, preparing his quiver full of arrows alongside his bow.

“Let the
