āEmery,ā he roars, slamming into my pussy one last time as his own orgasm rips through him.
After what feels like an eternity as we both catch our breath, Samuel collapses onto the bed next to me. I fall onto my stomach turning my head to face him. Instead of meeting my gaze heās staring up at the ceiling.
āAll this time youāve been alive, and I didnāt know. Fuck. Tell me something, were you the one controlling the shipments of the guns to the cargo ship?ā I should have known heād figure that little detail out.
āDemi and I handled getting the shipments prepped but I was never at the cargo ship,ā I murmur.
āFuckinā hell. Iāve been working with my own damn wife for years and didnāt even know it. You have got to be fuckinā kidding me,ā Samuel growls, rubbing a hand over his face.
Tilting his head in my direction he narrows his eyes. āYouāre never leaving me again you got that,ā he orders.
āDidnāt want to do it the first time.ā
āWell weāre not pulling any more Pirates of the Caribbean bullshit, like those two characters marry each other then donāt fuckinā see each other for years.ā I canāt help but giggle.
āYou watched the Pirates of the Caribbean movies?ā I ask, astonished that heād watched them all.
āUnfortunately,ā he mutters.
āWhy?ā
āYou fuckinā know why.ā
āNo, I donāt.ā I did know but I wanted to hear him say it.
āBecause you told me the first one was your favorite movie. It was also the first movie we watched together,ā he grumbles.
Smiling I lean into him and capture his mouth in a searing kiss while I climb on top of him. We have a lot of time to make up for and what better way to reconnect than right here, right now.
Chapter Eleven
Scorch
Itās been two weeks since that first night with her. Emery got under my skin, scratch that. Sheās always been under my skin and Iāve done my best to ignore the feeling. Too bad the moment I saw her in that towel, I couldnāt help myself.
I had to reclaim what rightfully belonged to me.
Fucked up I know but damn if Iāll be sorry for taking back what has been mine for more than ten years. I didnāt intend to continue fuckinā her all night but after Emery admitted to not being with anyone else, my chest tightened with a pain I hadnāt felt in years. Not since the day I thought Iād buried her.
When weād left the motel room, I followed her home. I refused to let her out of my sight. What man in his right mind would?
Getting to the clubhouse I was nervous because inside I didnāt know what to expect upon seeing my son for the first time. Sure, Iād have liked to have done this at the house instead but with Emeryās stunt that didnāt happen.
Stepping into the clubhouse Iād barely made it through the door when I stop and stare at a mini version of myself.
The moment heād seen me Stone ran across the room screaming āDadā and jumped into my arms. Iād lifted him into mine and held him to me. Meeting Emeryās gaze, Iād seen the tears rolling down her cheeks and couldnāt help myself but pull her to me as well.
I didnāt care if all my brothers were watching quietly. They all knew who she was to me. Iād made no secret of that. All that mattered was for once in my life everything was whole. I had my brothers, my wife, and my kid.
In the heat of the moment Iād made the announcement that Emery was my olā lady. I hadnāt planned on it, but it felt right. Still does.
Everyday Emery and Stone came with me to the clubhouse to hang out while I handled business. Itās not always about riding my bike, drinkinā beer, and fuckinā bitches. No, I have to make sure all our businesses are running smoothly, because if theyāre not that means somethingās wrong.
Today is no different.
āScorch, you able to talk for a minute?ā Bane asks, glancing from me to where Emery is sitting on the couch engrossed in her book. Itās what sheās done every day when sheās not doing something with Stone.
Feeling eyes on her, Emery glances up. āNeed me to step out of the room?ā she asks, closing her book.
āSorry Em, need to talk to Prez about some shit,ā Bane says, giving her a smile. Itās strange seeing him interact with her yet he gives Demi the cold shoulder. Doesnāt help they got off on the wrong foot when my sister in-law drew her Ruger SR45 on him.
āNo problem, I need to go see what Stone is up to anyway. I learned a long time ago to never leave him alone with my sister for long. She taught him how to disable a gun for cleaning when he was five,ā she states as she gets up off the couch. A pang goes through my chest.
Iām doing my best to not think about missing out on the last ten years. But whenever itās brought up, I canāt help the anger that simmers deep inside me. I know it wasnāt Emeryās fault. Her and I had a long conversation the day I met Stone. Iād been curious as to how he knew me. Sheād told me how many fights her and her father got into when she wanted to contact me.
Doesnāt mean I think she couldnāt have tried harder. Then again, her father is a powerful man.
Nodding at her as she leaves the room, neither Bane nor I speak until the door is closed.
āSo, you and the misses seem to be doing good,ā he smirks.
āDonāt start. What did you come in here for?ā
āJust got a call from Ravage up at the Baltimore charter,ā Bane states as he takes a seat in the chair across from my desk.
āAbout what?ā I ask, furrowing my brow.
āSeems they got some
